Like the Little Engine that could "I think I can, I think I Can" LOL!! Well my previousl attempt at losing these extra lbs failed miserably. Well not really, I stopped the gain and lost 10lbs that I've kept off. But thats where it stopped, or maybe it was me that stopped. I'm not oblivous to what happened. I got hungry!!!! Diets dont work. Eating like a rabbit when you're used to eating like a pig isn't gonna do a thing but make me wanna run to the vending machine when that 3pm crash comes. My biggest problem is I didn't know what my body needed or what was ok to eat. I cant live off of turkey, chicken, fruits and veggies here, I will go nuts.

So I found a plan that lets me have my cake and eat it to. Well Not really but you get the point. Don't worry its not some company that promises the world. They dont promise anything actually, just that they will show you how to eat right and exercise. I've always said that if I'm gonna learn, someone just needs to tell me what to eat. THEY DO LOL!!! No pills, no buying their foods. Its nothing but smart advice, help in chosing your meals and a community of people that are on the same journey as you.

Well todays only day one. So of course I'm excited but its starting off alot better than last time. Breakfast alone has made me feel alot more satisfied and alert than any diet I ever tried did. Will I be going to the gym.....ugh, i'll get there. Going to a stuffy gym to work out while watching TV is so blah to me. I much rather walk with my BF and spend some quality talk time together. But for the strength training I know the gym is my best bet.

    Here we go....................

sounds great! Healthy eating and exercise is the perfect way to lose weight, and get your body in working order!

I never ate breakfast either, just not hungry in the morning.. but since working with my nutritionist, I've been eating breakfast everyday, and like you said - it really makes you feel satisfied and alert and a lot less tempted to hit the vending machine!

I hate the gym too... I get bored and lose motivation. Staring at a tv while running on the treadmill.. bleh, what are we, gerbils? You can easily go for a walk or a jog w/ the bf and have a better time and probably a longer workout. Does the gym(s) in your area offer fitness classes? For weight training I do a fitness class at my gym called Body Pump and it. is. AWESOME! Great music, great people, great trainer - it keeps me motivated and I actually LOOK FORWARD to going! Who woulda thunk? You might look into something like that, since it seems like you dislike the gym for the same reasons I do!

Best of luck to you! It sounds like you're on your way to a healthier Kallygirlie!

LOL, glad I'm not the only one that feels like I'm on a hampster wheel on the gym Tredmill. HAHA!!. YA know whats more boring then working out while watching TV, Commercials while working out. UGH!! makes me just wanna stop and go home. I've tried listening to music but man the channel selection where I live is horrible!!! They dont have any classes but I live less than a mile from the local YMCA so I may check into classes there. I'd be happy with walking with my bf. We will walk to Walmart which is 2.3 miles round trip. Problem with that is we can only do that 4 days a week cause of our work schedules. When I get home, he only has about 45 mins before he has to leave for work and we dont see each other in the mornings cause he gets off 30mins after I leave for work. Normally in that 45 mins I'm getting him dinner and he's getting ready to get out the door. I'm just gonna have to figure something out cause I'm done with this battle.

    "I know this will work"

And THAT is the attitude that will lead you to success.

Focus on gradually, day by day, living a healthier life:

-Day by day increase your water intake replacing other "not as healthy" options with water
-Replace morning coffee, with morning white tea or green tea
-Exercise exercise exercise. It doesn't have to be about a treadmill. I don't like them either. (Plan a hiking adventure, turn on your ipod and walk around the block until say 10-15 songs have played, find some good workout videos for rainy days, join a local gym that has enjoyable aerobics classes, bicycle, kayak, etc etc etc.) Options are unlimited. Each week, add some time to your exercise routine.
-Give up fast food. Looking for healthy fast food options personally leaves me feeling unsatisfied, then my brain says "chicken nuggets and fries would be soooo much better". Plan homemade salads, sandwiches, veggies to either pack or come home and eat for lunch. Research healthy recipes online and commit to cooking at LEAST one new recipe per week.
-Replace white crackers and white bread with something like Triscuits and Multi Grain or Whole Wheat flat rounds.
-Add high fiber things into your diet gradually replacing all the low fiber stuff that stays in your body far too long. This also encourages healthy digestion, meaning more #2 visits to the bathroom. It's amazing how our bodies rid of waste, toxins, fat, etc when we're going #2 like our bodies really need to.

If you focus on making every day healthier than the day before rather than focus on losing pounds....you will see huge differences.

I love your attitude. Don't lose it.
