Eat nutritious foods - whole grains, lots of fresh vegetables, lean proteins. Keep hydrated with water. And exercise at least 5 days a week, if not more. That's the general advice for losing weight and getting healthy.

But if you want specifics you'll have to give us more detail about your daily life, as sourpuss has asked you... what are you eating, how much, and when? How much physical activity to do you get, and what kind?

Default Healthy eating and a regular workout

In my opinion, living an active life, learning balanced nutrition and portion control and making both of them a daily routine are the most effective and safest way to lose your extra pounds and keep them off.
Try to work out on a regular basis and make a gradual change in your eating style toward healthier habits, giving preference to fiber-rich foods and low calorie/high energy foods like grains, fruits, vegetables, legumes, fish and reducing your intake of fats and simple carbohydrates like sweets and sugars. I've been eating like this since I went on a mediterranean diet and I got really good results (I lost 10 pounds in about a month). It's a pretty balanced eating style that made me understand that losing weight is not all about a mechanical “eat this, not that”, it means understanding what foods are good for your health and comprehending how to combine them into a balanced mix in order to control your weight without depriving yourself of essential nutrients. In a word, it means making more responsible eating choices, giving up all the crazy eating habits you may have, learning balanced nutrition and making a lifelong change in the way you eat.
Here are some little tips you may adopt as a daily routine in order to keep your weight under control without feeling deprived of food, just by making more responsible eating choices: eat 5 small meals a day, it will help you curb your appetite between meals, better control your portions during the meals and, also, avoid the temptation of eating snacks all day; when you feel like snacking, eat fruits and vegetables instead of a handful of cookies; prefer white meats to red meats, they are less fatty; prefer blue fish like sardines and anchovies, it's rich in nutritional value but lower in calories; prefer home made meals to precooked foods, they help you better control what you're eating and are much healthier than those ready-cooked meals you find in the stores! If you wish to take a look my diet, too, you can find it on the web, its name is Italiandiet.
Hope you'll find my tips useful. I wish you all the best with your weight loss journey!

If you stick to organic foods it may help, as processed foods can slow you down and may unknowingly contain trans fats. Drink plenty of water, exercise a minimum of 30 minutes each day, and make sure that your diet is well balance and your portions are under control.

You need to do a lot of exercise and some healthy dieting. Even a walk around your neighborhood would burn many calories. You can also do it on your treadmill for those lazy days. As for dieting, eat fruits and vegetables. Avoid junk, fatty, and fast foods. Also, do not smoke or even drink alcohol. Read magazines, fat loss for idiots review, diet news, and other helpful stuff on the internet for it helps to have vital information on losing weight safely.

Losing weight is a balance of nutrition to control the caloric intake and exercise to burn fat. However, for more effective burning of fat, you need anaerobic exercise such as weight training and high impact high intensity runs. Anaerobic exercise burns 9 times more fat and the fat burning continues even when the exercise stops. So, you could still be burning those fat when you are sleeping. Circuit training is rather useful. Go to Youtube and search for fat burning exercise which you can do at home without going to the gym.

cut out grains. and milk products. because when your body digests them it turns milk and grain products into sugar. eat more meat and veggies.
