After some experimentation with my weight loss methods I have FINALLY found a good balance of food/exercise and my body seems to be working with me. I have lost 2.5 lbs in the last 2 weeks I am THRILLED! I would like to lose 15 lbs total but I'm not in any super hurry. If i could lose it by Halloween that'd be fantastic. If not, at least by Thanksgiving

It is SOOO good to start to see the scale move *down* again

    BD,

I just had to really mix up my workouts more often than I had been. I am still doing Zumba about 1-2 times a week, but I really started getting some weights back in there and also taking short walks at work for my break (just moving around a bunch).

I also got back to writing down EVERY thing I eat every day and I try to "mix" up the calories. I try to get about 1400 a day average, but I really vary it so I might have 1200 one day if I am not working out and 1700 the next day and 1400 the next day. Kind of to keep my body confused if you will, sort of like with the workouts

I have also made sure I get my three servings of dairy every day. I eat string cheese, the laughing cow wedges, yogurt, or frozen yogurt to make sure I am getting 3 servings a day. I don't know why but that really seems to help me.

My body tends to stabilize really really easily. SO I just have to make a conscious effort to really track what I am doing if I want to lose rather than maintain. I fully expect a plateau to hit here in a couple more lbs, but I am going to try to avoid it

Awesome. Isn't it a great feeling when you figure your body out and can in some way control it to give you the results you want? Keep up the great work Ky!

This week's update: I am up to the 6 lb mark. I should easily reach my goal of 15 lbs by Halloween if I can keep this up (only 9 more lbs to go and 7 weeks to do it in!)

It is sooo nice to see my hard work paying off. It's like the more improvement I see the more motivated I am to keep pushing along. I realize the food eating is going to have to last forever so this doesn't happen again, but I just feel good

Hopefully in a few weeks I can tell you all I hit 10 lbs!

I really do feel fantastic and I am counting down the days till I get back into my old clothes! I weighed again today (after the rest of the bloating went down..man, I hate being a woman sometimes) and it looks like I am actually officially at 7 lbs lost.

It's just good to be in control of my health again. I know I can't protect myself from everything, but I can at least take good care of myself!
