Red face Help! Weight Loss and Excercise

    Hey everybody!
I'm looking for a weight loss and excercise program that I won't give up on immediatly.

I'm not lazy, I walk for at least an hour each day (typically more than 3 hours a day, but school's starting soon, so not as much excercise), but I hardly eat. My metabolism must be shot.

So I need tips to boost my metabolism and to lose weight effectively!

Thank you so much for comments/feedback. I appreciate everything you have to offer.

Your best bet is just to decide what motivates you, what will make you stick to your healthy lifestyle?

If you have trouble sticking to an exercise program, join a fitness class, and/or start exercising with a buddy - having someone hold you accountantable when you don't stick to your program can sometimes really help. Or just find a hobby that you really enjoy that incorporates exercise, so it doesn't feel like you're forcing yourself to work out - tennis, swimming, biking, finding something you LIKE to do really helps you stick to it. Really, it is just willpower - you know you need to exercise, and only you can make yourself keep at it, but the tips above make it easier to stick it out!

As for the eating, yeah, you NEED to eat - starving yourself will hurt your body and will make it cling to every fat cell it can (starvation mode), but you already know that it seems.... don't skip meals! so start each day eating a healthy breakfast (a whole grain cereal or oatmeal, fruit, and some sort of protein like milk, egg, or low fat cheese), have a healthy snack if you get the munchies between meals, make sure you eat lunch and dinner, drink plenty of water and stop eating a few hours before you go to bed so you don't disrupt your sleep cycle.

A healthy amount of sleep really helps a body - it allows your body to regenerate, your mind to have more clarity, your mood to improve...

Again, these are all things you can do that will help you - but it is a lifestyle, and you need to commit yourself to it! Diets don't work, pushing your body to the limits for a few days/weeks won't work. You must change your mindset from "eh, I'll get through these few weeks and then whatever" to "this is me now. This is my life. I am healthy and happy and will continue to be so by doing these things"

Good luck! I just started changing my life for the better, and I can tell you that I feel SoOoOoOoO much better already... I've still got some learning and need to keep progressing, but considering where I came from, I'm making it work (for over 3 months now!). I hope you can do the same!!

You should start doing yoga regularly along with regular exercises which should include swimming for 30 minutes, walking 2-3 miles a day .

One thing that might help is eating every couple of hours. Start with a good breakfast and then in a couple of hours have a healthy snack like a granola bar, yogurt, handful of almonds, or a piece of fruit. I try not to go for more than 3 hours with having a little something. Doing this really helped by metabolism get moving.

i can send you a link for a great ebook that helped me alot! it really focuses on ten pounds at a time, its simple! one thing i always found defeating before i lost all my weight was the number i was trying to conquer. when i followed this guide it helped me focus on ten pounds at a time and it went surprisingly fast because of the size of the goal!

    God Bless!

I advice you not to deprive yourself of eating. It will just make you more hungry if you tend to control your urge to eat. and give more time in your exercise routine.

I've simply lost weight by keeping a weight diary (I've used Daileez.com), eating less caloric food, running (on the fresh air, try that) and drinking enough water (3-4 litres a day). No expensive things, just the natural and I think the only right way...
