Hello, I have a story to tell and i need some advice
About two years ago i met my boyfriend, i was about 160 which i think is a fine weight. Well we went out to eat constantly and i just got really comfortable with my body. Now im at 207lbs and Im struggling to lose wieght! I cant stand to look at myself. I try to eat healthy and workout but if i get off track i get mad at myself, and plus my boyfriend hates eating healthy! and its so expensive!

I use to be so tan and thin and had the cutest clothes, now i have to wear big shirts and big jeans. I have no money to tan anymore and I have no money to buy cute clothes, and even if i did id have to shop at the special stores because nothing fits right!

I dont know what to do, i feel like being overweight is the cause of all of my problems. I feel so crappy about myself its unbelievable...

Healthy foods can taste good as well. You have to want to eat healthy though, not just be thinner and look better. What do you do for exercise? What do you normally eat?

hi... See men like to eat out and eat junk. They can burn it off because they have more muscle than women and because they have testosterone. This helps them lose weight faster. well we women are stuck cos all junk just builds a concrete house in our hips and settle there for life. There are a couple of things you an do. When you go out with your boyfriend let him order junk and you order something with reasonable portion size like burger and salad instead of fries and so on. Or better grilled sandwich and salad.Drink at least 8 glasses of water to flush off the toxins that you have in resturants. Try and explain your problem to him and ask him to be supportive of your weight loss. That is the best thing to do. Then try and choose healthier resturants. If you can eat something healthy at home and then go out, so you eat less of junk, it will help. Your body is your temple. You have to take care of it and protect it. Its all in your hands. Take control. You are putting strain on your heart. Put a picture of your thin photo in the doorway so you have a look at yourself before going to resturants and eat junk. It will help. trust me men can loss weight before you open and close your eyes. Its not like that for women because of our harmones. try reading Jillian Michales books. she is awesome. All the best!

i stopped drinking pop, i ate grilled chix and veg, i ate salads, i walked 2 miles everyday, and i also waitress wich is a lot of exercise...

i guess i just dont know that much about nutrition because i am doing something wrong!

i cant get motivation whatsoever..i am my worst critic, almost half the day im putting myself down.

Like I said, you need to focus on being healthy, not on what you look like. Walking is good, but it's not enough to lose almost 50 pounds.

In addition to what SP said, Salads can get really unhealthy if you add lots of cheese, croutons or dressing to them. Also if you are cooking your chicken and veggies in a lot of oil or butter that also can add up really quick. Be aware of exactly where you calories are coming from and then you can really see what you are eating. This may not be the case, but make sure you are eating enough calories too. If you drop from eating 2500 cals a day to 1000 your body might think it's starving.

On the workouts, I think you're at a good start, but I'd try to incorporate something like jogging intervals, an elliptical, an aerobics class, biking, etc in with the walking as well. You want to make sure you're really getting your heart rate up and not just strolling along.

Finally, I totally agree that losing weight is not goign to make you happy. TRUST ME. I have BEEN THERE. I have DONE THAT. I have run the scale from "skinny" to "obese" and I can tell you that there are always issues. You have to love yourself for you. Eat well and take care of yourself for you. Be healthy for YOU.
