So I have got myself in somewhat of a rut. In the last 2.5 weeks I have put all the wieght that I had lost (about 12 lbs!!!) Up until about 3 weeks ago I worked out almost 7 days a week. Nothing crazy but I was in the gym at least 5-7 times each week. I go to school and just recently got married on the 10th while on vacation at the coast. Also I recently quit smoking as well (yay!! almost 2 weeks now!) I don't know what to do. I feel like such a failure and pretty lame too. Anyone know where I went wrong, if I get myself back in the gym hardcore again will the weight come off easily (maybe quickly too?) Need some encouragment! Thanks for reading

It will definitely come off quicker this time around. But you have to get back in there today! Don't stress too much, sounds like wedding/vacation weight. BUT you don't want to let all that hard work be for nothing so get back to the gym and back to eating healthy and you'll be back on track soon.

Congrats on quitting smoking as well!

seems like vacation can really make a person pack it on... some of it is of course not exercising or eating so great, but I think some of it too is just your body reacting to a different schedule, more like water weight - not fat... once you get back to your normal routine I think the weight should come off pretty quick again.

Just make sure to get back into exercising and eating like you were! I think you'll be back on track in no time flat!

I'd blame some of it on the quitting smoking too. Try to really watch your eating habits closely. When I quit smoking almost a year and a half ago (yay!) I noticed that I ate a LOT more because I was trying to replace the smoking... I put on about 15 lbs in about 8 months and now am working my tush off to get it back off. BUT I think once you get back into the routine, it'll start coming back off. Your body might just need a few weeks to adjust.

    Congrats on your marriage!
