Hi everyone, I am 20 yrs old and currently weighing TOO much...I have never been THIN, like 100lbs but I have been "skinny", which to me is flat stomach and toned legs, etc. So, I have been in a relationship for 3 years & seems I have hit that "comfortable" stage...I care, but I really just want to eat what I want. I joined a gym, but I have no one to go with and without someone to workout with I get bored easily and leave after 15 minutes, which completely defeats the purpose and shows me that I am wasting my money. I need some advice on diet, exercise and overall confidence...How do I get my "sexy" body back? I am too young to be worrying about being TOO big! I am turning 21 in May and really wanna look good bc I am going to Las Vegas AND I don't want to be insecure anymore, its hurting my relationship! If you have any advice, I am all ears! Thanks

Find a friend to workout with. Start going to a class you like. When you go to the gym, just push yourself. Just put on some music and push yourself at least 30 minutes. Can your BF go with you?

I have an IPOD that I take every single time I go to the gym. It's amazing how music can keep your mind off of what you're doing whenever you get bored. Before, I spent about 15-20 minutes of cardio before lifting weights, and now I can do 40 without thinking twice. The only reason I had to stop before 40 was because I was so bored. But with music, it seems so much better. Plus, it keeps me upbeat about being there.

Everyone "needs" the gym, skinny or not.

If you truly want it, you have to find a way to push yourself. You're the only one who controls how long you stay at the gym. When you find yourself getting bored, you have two choices : Change up what you're doing into something else that suits you better, or leave. You're in total control of whether you leave or stay, and how you utilize your time while you're there.

Aerobics classes are great because you're working out with others, and it just seems that in general people are more likely to push themselves if they are in front of others doing the same thing. I'm sure your gym offers some classes. Check them out.

Birth control pills CAN totally wipe out your energy. I found it hard to be motivated about much of anything while I was on the pill. Went off them and no longer have that issue. However, while I was on them, I was aware of what they were doing to my energy level, so I had to push even harder.

What's your current level of exercise like on a normal week? What is your diet like? Be honest....we're not here to judge, only to help.
