It's a great way to work out and train. But if you're not already relatively fit, it's pretty hard. What kind of exercise routine are you on now?

I havent seriously worked out in quite a while. I go about once a month for an hour and I typically like to lift weights. As I age I am gaining stomach fat and i know lifting weights isn't the best workout for losing stomach fat. I hate jogging for long periods of time, so I typically sprint and then walk and so forth for about 20 mins. I enjoy sprinting. When I searched about it, it said that I am basically doing the HIIT. I'm going to start out doing it for 10 min a day 3 times per week (as a beginner) and my rest period is going to be twice as long as my max period (30 sec max, 60 sec rest). Does that sound okay for a beginner? I'm hoping to lose 1-2 lbs per week (2 max). My goal weight is 125 lbs, I am 145 currently. I plan on HIIT mainly for 2 months then weight training to gain some muscle mass on my glutes, which has proven difficult for me in the past.
