drink energy drinks. they curb your appetite. and even if you eat they still raise you metabolism through the roof. my mom has been over weight for years and i got her started drinking them and shes like 50 lbs in about 3 months. worked really well for me too. just pick one you like and stick with it. its literally the only thing ive found that doesnt mess with your body in weird ways and you literally dont have to exercise and its quite a bit cheaper than diet pills and gym memberships =]

Probably because all of the taurine and caffeine make it as though you are on a mini amphetamine rush causing you to run around and be physical just as though you were at the gym. They contain so much sugar that there is nothing healthy about them, the caffeine is easily several cups of coffee worth, they make you have the typical crash and burn effect, your metabolism actually goes into stress state because of all the sugar and caffeine, your heart rate sky rockets, your blood pressure raises, you have less 'good' circulation. They are really not healthy lol.

    That doesn't sound very healthy.

I would never take this advice. Energy drinks are actually really bad for your heart AND YOUR WAIST. There is so much sugar that a normal person would gain weight.

It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~

and its not an amphetamine rush. obviously you have no experience. and it doesnt make you "active" it makes you ALERT and AWAKE. i dont go bounces off the walls all crazy it just makes your metabolism jump. just like coffee except you dont have to drink 2 pots.

Yes I know hence the use of the metaphor "make it as though your are on a mini amphetamine rush".

and it doesnt make you "active" it makes you ALERT and AWAKE. i dont go bounces off the walls all crazy it just makes your metabolism jump. just like coffee except you dont have to drink 2 pots.
Check beyond the printed label and advertised commercials (this means knowing what the ingredients are other than saying just saying the words) and you can find some pretty interesting articles on the health effects of the drinks. There is no weight loss when you intake that kind of sugar at those kinds of levels. Just because you enjoy some product does not mean it is good for you, I love coffee but I know it stains my teeth and can contribute to some terrible acid reflux that I am prone to having but I am not going to stop drinking it lol.

Fact-- I cannot drink ANY energy drinks because the make my heart pump so fast it feels like it is jumping out of my skin and they give me the shakes.

So I think there might be some side effects to those "natural" ingredients. Do a little research and you might find out a few more "truths" clarified.

I'm not sure why anyone would want to drink energy drinks to lose weight (even though it was mentioned they're no worse than diet soda) instead of fueling your body with healthy nutritious foods and exercising regularly. The sugar and caffeine in one, let alone if you drink many in a day, is far more than the body is supposed to absorb. CAll me old fashioned, but I would rather lose weight the healthy way, even though it takes time and commitment, but the benefits to the body and mind far outweigh the work one has to put in to be successful.

Yes, even skinny people can develop helth problems like Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart and kidney problems. Especially if they're consuming copious amounts of caffeine/taurine-infused sugar-water daily.

This may have worked for you and your mom, hp, but I would never suggest this as an option for others to in their weight loss journey. I'm no health professional, but I would hazzard a guess that anyone's doctor would agree that this isn't an ideal lifestyle.

No, I don't agree with the OP on energy drinks for weight loss. It's super unhealthy. Lots of sugar and artificial ingredients....

I am drinking a cup of Panax Ginseng tea at night after dinner to help me clean up my digestive tract the next day. And since tea tends to dehydrate you, I drink a sufficient amount of water all day and night to counter it. this works for me, plus a healthy and balanced diet and a regular workout.
