i have a really hard time motivating myself to workout. i'll start working out for a few months and then just give up. i know working out will help my self-esteem, it makes me feel and look better, but i just dont have it in me to stick with something. also, i have a really hard time eating right. if you put chocolate in front of me, i'm gonna eat it.

i need help. i really want to do this for myself, but with failed past experiences, i don't know what to do.

Put up some photos of what you looked like when you were in shape. Get mentally into that state. Feel what you felt like being in shape and loving how it felt to live in your body. Your mind is powerful and will work with your brain and body to get you there.

You don't have to give up chocolate entirely. Switch to dark which is healthier, get a better quality and eat it slowly and really experience it. Get thee down to Goodwill or the department store and invest in some blue dishes. The color blue curbs appetite. Also get smaller plates and bowls, studies have found that dish size affects our perception of food consumption. The same size serving on a smaller plate will seem more filling than when eaten off a larger plate. Take care in the appearance of your food, it should be a feast for the eyes as well as the palet and not just fill your stomach.

Move, stretch, all the time, so it sensuously, enjoy it.

Focus on health and the pleasure of having a strong healthy body. Forget the scale and go for healthy living.

As for sweets, don't buy them. If you don't have them in your face all the time it's easy to forget about them.

Example: I was grocery shopping and I was really hungry. So I picked up a box of cereal treats. I ate one in the store so I had to buy the rest of the box. Then I ate the rest of the box in like 3 days. I think I have one left. And they are kinda small so I have been eating 2 at a time. If I had just waited until I was done shopping and went home and cooked myself something, then I never would have ate that whole box of crispy treats. Thus saving myself at least a pound, lol it was a big box (had 15 I think).

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I am 5'0 and stay between 95 and 105. As for working out.. I wish I could help you, I can't do it either. Perhaps a tread mill placed in front of a t.v. could get me moving lol.
