if you want to lose weight the media tells you to buy this and that work out equipment, to swallow this and that chemical, to do endless counts of calories, ....
there are companies who want you to make belief that losing weight is difficult and most important that you have to spend money on their product to lose it

.
besides of all that brainwashing stuff you get soooo much distracted from your actual plan to lose
sustained weight.
please forget what ever you have "learned" and look inside yourself. you know what your need and what not. begin with your basic needs: fresh air, water, non-processed food (in german we say: you are what you eat i.e. healthy food -> healthy body), good friends to hang out with (e.g. cook healthy food), to travel (combined with hiking), to walk in a park and last but not least moderate (!) endurance sport. For example regular mornings walks, swimming (both are natural movements for the human body i.e. i'm guessing most effectiv).
a good thing is to keep record of what you did + ate per day, not forever just until you got to know yourself better: to overcome the things your body doesn't need. Moreover it's a good motivation because it shows your effort and success (in contrast to the scale that just shows a number).
so, all you need is actually nothing you can buy
Keep it simple and regulary.
