    Hello to everyone,
I have been struggling with losing weight for over ten years. I really need to lose a good 120 pounds and I cant take it anymore. I have a gym membership and i go on and off. I would love to just jump start my weight loss and see a good 20 pounds gone just to keep this motivation i have to get started I just dont know the right way to start. Everyone has their own opinion. And Im tired of listening to bs and spending money on things that dont work. So please someone send me something I can really see results with.
I start this journey last year but after hitting the gym 5 days a week and only seeing 15 pounds diminsh after 5 months I became discouraged. I dont want that to happen again. I want my old self back or just a new version, but being 38 and only 5'7" and almost 300 pounds is not a good thing.
    Thank you

Hello, I am new here too but read your post and wonder if you have had any allergy tests run. If I were you, I would go to a local naturopath, have them run a blood/allergy test and see if you may have some food allergies that are causing weight gain, as well as weight loss problems.

Sometimes food allergies can cause weight gain as well as many other nasty side effects. For example, if you have acquired a gluten allergy, once you cut gluten from your diet you could lose 20-40 lbs withing the first couple months. It may be worth checking in to. The test is about $200 but well worth it. Went through 12 months of Dr.s visits before figuring out my son was allergic to potatoes. All it took was a finger prick and the results changed his life & mine! Good luck!

I'm also new here, and need to loose about 90lbs... I too would also love to hear if someone has a kickstart program that would rid of 10 or 15 pounds quickly, it's a good motivational start to all this!

had allergy testing years ago...not allergic to anything. but know I am wondering if cutting out the gluten could help. Losing weight and how to go about it the right way is super confusing.

I am also new and would love this. I am a graduate student who has struggled with my weight for a long time. and would love something that could jumpstart my weight loss. I do have access to a gym and do go as often as possible. It is my new years resolution to start going atleast 5 days a week, but i need the extra boost to start off.

I'm also new, I'm 22 6' and i weigh 260 pounds. I have been on my diet for approximately 24 days and have lost 36 pounds. I am on 1200 calorie diet. I have lost about 1.5 pounds a day. I don't go to the gym, I don't have time to. I have kids so my main focus is around them, which is 1 reason I decided to lose weight. I am not starving myself, because the only exercise I get, is when I'm cleaning, running errands, and playing with the kids. If I were going to the gym of course I would need to eat more calories. It was hard at first, because I love food. Who doesn't? Its harder when no one supports you, or your doing it alone. I have always been overweight since I had my first child. This diet works for me, because I get to eat every 2 to 3 hours, and since its all whole grain, lean meat, and fresh fruit and vegetables, I get to eat a lot. Also when your eating healthy meals, you feel more satisfied, as opposed to eating a double cheese burger. I never drink my calories, because my body will burn through that fairly quickly. I was surprised to discover just how hard it was to eat 1200 calories from healthy food, because of the amount. The best thing I can tell you, is you have to have make up your mind. I honestly don't know what happened to me, its like something snapped. I just decided enough was enough. I went from someone that loves to eat out, and loves junk food, to someone who doesn't want it anymore, or even really care. How? Once I cut the butter, salt, sugar, and soda, and started eating healthy, I found myself more energetic, not needing the afternoon nap anymore, and able to keep up with my kids. Counting the calories was hard until I memorized how many calories were in a serving. Not my serving but the serving on the label. That being said, I'm so motivated to stick to this diet, when I do get time to go to the gym I will up my calorie intake, but for now, I think Ill stick to this since it is working. I do not take any diet pills, or do anything special, just changed my eating habits, and started drinking a lot of water.

I hope you find something that works for you, and if you need someone to lose weight with you, Ill gladly do that =) Its easier too when your not the only one trying to lose weight.

I am having a hard time with it i think because i am a graduate student and do live on campus where i go to school. So its alot of eating on campus. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to eat healthier that way.

I lost alot of weight before my current pregnancy and helped some of my friends lose a good amount of weight so maybe I can help you guys out.
Weightloss is not easy and after my child is born in the next few weeks I will be right there with you guys trying to lose the weight I have gained and left to lose.
Some suggestions I can give you are to consume water. Water is the best thing to lead to weight loss and drinking calories only hinders weight loss. Also read labels for things such as aspertame. This is found in things such as crystal light and diet soda. Its a fake sugar that has been linked to weightloss problems and many other things. I suggest if you need flavor to your water to try True Lemon. It comes in three flavors and its all natural. I love it and cannot go without it, plus it helps you get the water you need. I also found if you drink 8 ozs before you eat you will consume less. Make sure you are getting your veggies and fruit along with cutting your carbs. Lots of fiber helps with weightloss so do not consume white flour if you can help it. Whole wheat is the best way to go and you can make some really good wholesome meals with whole wheat.
Also I found not consuming fast food and preparing homemade meals will help drop the pounds.
The challenge I did for myself last year at this time (before I got pregnant) was no fast food, no soda or diet drinks only water or fruit juice, always eat breakfast, cut out white flour, and exercise five days a week.
Since I live in the middle of nowhere and the nearest gym is over an hour away I started the Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. I recommended it to you all because its only 20 mins long and its equal to an hour in the gym. Its really hard but it gets easy each time you do it and I never got past level two, there are three levels.
I hope these suggestions help. Weightloss is never easy but with focus you guys can do it!! Best of Luck!!!

Weight loss is not an easy thing to achieve. Sometimes we can lose weight but put it back on twice as fast as we lost it. I have found loads of diets and cleansing programs and there are a few brilliant ones out there that dont cost the earth.
Motiviation is sometimes hard to keep, as you try and try but dont seem to be losing anything. Think positive and try to make little steps because before you know it you will have made a massive leap.. Keep focus and keep POSITIVE. When you look in the mirror, take 10 pounds off yourself and soon you will see things happening.
We all struggle at times, and it is good to have a good support network of people around you.

But always remember - YOU know your body better than anyone, so do what is right for YOU and not everyone else.

    keep POSITIVE
