I need to lose weight. I'm at 151 and I'm 5'6. I'm having knee problems and I have PCOS so my doctors need me to get my weight down.
Has anyone done a low GI diet? How does that work? Is there a limit I should have each day?
And...people keep saying eat a low carb diet like Atkins...but I can't do that. My bad cholesterol is at 272 (it should be under 160). This is likely due to the PCOS and the birth control I have to take.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Should I give up bread or eat more vegan foods (I love vegan foods btw) or what? Normally I'd just count calories, but I'm supposed to do more than just that this time, so I'd love any suggestions. Thanks!
