Hello, I am just looking for some advice on losing 30-35lbs I now weigh 155-160 and I've never weighed this in my life I am 5'5' and would like to be down to 120-125 idealy. I used to be very active and was on my feet all day at work, now I sit in front of a computer screen for 8 hours a day, and in the past year I've put on this weight..I am so unhappy with how I look and I know 30lbs isn't a lot, but it is to me. I hate looking in the mirror and I hate the fact that I'm not the skinny sexy girl I was a year ago. I am embarrassed at how I look and am just sick and tired of this! So please any advice on a diet or anything would be great and much appreciated.

30 might not seem like a lot, but on a petite 5'5" frame, it can really add up!

I guess before any advice on your diet can be given, can you tell us what your typical day of eating consists of? What do you have for breakfast, lunch, dinner? Snacks? Drinks?

Since you've now got a desk job, you're become more sedentary - you're moving less, and burning less calories. You can counteract this by becoming more active outside of your job. Start exercising! Try for around 30-60 minutes of moderately intense exercise at least 5 days a week. Join a gym, sign up for fitness classes, or just get out there and start walking/jogging/ doing pushups, situps, squats, and lunges at home. You need to find some way to work the exercise you're no longer getting on the job into your day!

My day starts out at 6 AM I occasionally will stop by mcdonalds (my first mistake lol) and grab the oatmeal hashbrown and a coffee. For lunch I eat a 6 in sub from subway and dinner varies. After work I spend an hour at the farm feeding and taking care of 6 horses then I go home and take care of my horse and animals around 6pm. Then I either go to school or do homework until late...Its hard to find time and/or get motivated to do anythings such as going to a gym. We live on a forest and have access to 27,000 acres of trails which is ideal for walking, but my problem is I get up and its dark and I get home and its dark, and I definitely don't plan on walking at night lol (something might eat me in the forest) hahaha. What It all boils down to is I'm lazy and tired when I get home (even though I do nothing but sit in front of a computer all day) and I need to light a fire under my butt and get a move on! lol

definitely watch closer what you're eating. McD's is packed with processed sugars and starches.. even their "healthy" options are not so great once you look up their nutritional value... same with Subway... the bread itself is a killer! And if you put any sauces or cheese on, well look out - you've just turned what was supposed to be a light lunch something mega-fat and calorie packed

Try journaling everything you eat (EVERYTHING, every little bite, every drink, every "teeny tiny taste" you're taking) - after a week, look up the nutritional value of the food and drinks you've put in your body. Websites like Calorie Count are good for this, there are tons of other ones out there too - find one you like. You might be REALLY surprised just how much junk you eat/drink in a week.

I hear ya on finding the time to do the exercise, and being too tired. I do the same, sitting at a desk, staring at a computer all day. Many people don't understand how we could possibly be tired sitting all day, but it is a strain. You're right - you have tol light that fire under your booty to make yourself get moving. Even if you can wake up 30 minutes earlier, or right after tending to the horses, you stay out and DO something... just 30 minutes to get started, make it a priority however you have to. Once you've made it a habit, add more time... but start somewhere!

So what will get you motivated? What will light that fire? Be honest with yourself about it, becaues if you aren't honest from the get-go, you aren't going to exercise
