Well, I started my change of life, January 1 2011. I was 5ft 0 in. tall and weighed 163 lbs. I was tired of being overweight. I increased my water consumption and change my food intake. mostly fruit and veg's with lean meat as a side dish, not a main course. I started doing yoga for a half hour every evening and I ride a stationary bike every morning for 20 minutes. Weighed myself this morning....... 154 lbs! I have lost 9 lbs in 5 weeks!!!! There are no magic pills, believe me I have tried. You have to make the commitment to change and to the time it will take to do it. I spend extra time grocery shopping, extra time preparing fruits and veg's for the week, and extra time cooking and exercising. But what else do I have in my life but time!

Oh yea... and I forgot the most important part. I give myself one meal a week to splurge. That way I don't feel deprived.

    Yes ,

Every where i have seen weight loss programs but I like that you have got relaxation from Yoga. Yoga really helps to remove our unnecessary weight.

You might heard the name "Ramdev Baba". He is the excellent teacher of Yoga and he has taught Yoga to the whole world.

I like his Yoga techniques and i daily do it also, as now i am not having much weight.

    thanks

Congratulations. Keep up the discipline. Home cooking your meals alone shreds a lot of your calories already. I'm currently doing P90-X and I'm losing the weight that's the hardest to get rid of. It takes a lot of time though - it's as if I have built my schedule around it everday. I'm on my 4th week now.

Don't give up. It is hard sometimes not to get discouraged but we have to remember that we did not put the weight on overnite nor will we loose it over nite. That is why I am not on a diet. I have changed my life.

Yes, me neither. Not really on a strict diet, but I do watch what I eat. I make sure I have my green smoothies at least once a day. This week is recovery week for me on P90-X, a lot of stretching and cardio, then next week, it's going to be really hard again (5th week). This will be more challenging as I will be out of the house more often. I'll surely miss having the time all day to myself, but that's going to end soon.

Bad news. Went to the foot doctor and he put my foot in a cast. I have had foot problems for a long time. No exercise for me. doc said see him in three weeks. bummer. I was doing so well. on a break. hopefully, i will be able to exercise again soon.
