I just found this website and forum tonight. WOW!
I have been struggling with losing weight since having my boys. (they are now 18 and 14)
I will be turning 40 this May and trying to get into better shape. I feel one of my biggest roadblocks is that I work at a pizza place full-time and it is like an all you can eat buffet!!! But when I work at my part time job at the airport as a gate agent, I do pretty good =) I really need to get off the MT Dew again. I did it before on Oct 11 but Thanksgiving I fell off that wagon when we went out of town for my hubbies 40th. I've tried doing edits and sparkpeople, but I usually don't get a chance to jump on and log my stuff. I hope to learn a lot here and to be able to connect with others who are going on this journey too

    Hi there,

Just wanted to reply to your thread. I don't have kids, but I have a pesky bit of weight that will NOT come off. My job is sedentary (I'm a lawyer) and so sitting at a desk or conference table with clients all day does me no favors. I exercise 4 days/week and I've been eating better but been stuck at this weight for 3 months! So frustrating!

Hopefully you are figuring out what works for you and are back on the wagon Good luck to you!

I feel for you. It's very difficult to resist temptation when you're faced with it in the way you are. The best thing I can suggest is to keep your hunger at bay with healthy foods and snacks, and whenever you feel tempted by a slice of pizza just focus on what it will do to you and all the that's probably in it.

Or, you could take extreme measures and find yourself another job that doesn't involve constantly being around food...?

Welcome! This forum is great wealth off knowledge. Unfortunately its hard to say exactly what needs tweaking to get you some results but I recommend you start arming yourself with info.

I also just wrote a post on my blog as well for "newbies" to get started.
