Lack of intensity during the workout?

P90X is a body reshaping/sculpting program that builds muscle while losing excess fat. I suppose it's possible to not see any difference on the scale (muscle weighs more than fat) but how about when you look in the mirror (naked)?

While I don't know how long you have been doing P90X, I can't imagine you not seeing any results in a short time.

Everybody I've talked to about it, says it's the most intense workout they've ever done and these are people who train on a regualr basis.

Ya I would have to agree. Also I've seen some people not do the workouts properly with low intensity and/or sloppy form. I say ignore the scale and take before and after pics. I did a six paxk abs workout and didn't notice a change on the scale but body composition did change. If you want you can see the before and after pics on my blog under "train with me". Primary message is the scale doesn't always tell the truth especially if you are eating right everyday and exercising.

I have been doing p90x for 2 months, I would like to do cardio more but I have planter facitis in both feet. I agree I need to eat more fruits and veggie. I'm 5 2 at 165 female. I do the p90x 5 times a week.

I drink water during the day. I know I probably dont drink enough. I think at this point I only drink about 4 glasses a day.

With Planter Facitis in both feet, I'm not sure that P90X is for you. There are many other things you can do in it's place. They may not be as intense and it may take longer to get your desired results but ultimately, the results will be similar.

What other options do you suggest?

I'm very unhappy about what I'm limited to do.

    Please give me some ideas

First of all, I have to ask, are you doing your stretches? Everyday? Getting in the habit of doing them....everyday, as part of your normal routine will benefit you. So I guess I'd start there first.

As far as the types of exercises you can do? Biking, Swimming or Weight training are "best" or "easiest" on those that have plantar facitis.

Swimming? Am I crazy? No, join a Y in your area with a pool.

Biking? Outside is ideal because you get the benefits of fresh air, sunshine, etc. There's always various types of "exercise bikes" at your local gym or fitness center.

Weight training? Again, am I crazy? NO. Weight training is one of the "better" ways to "go lean and get mean" (lose weight while firming things up) and you will see results fairly quickly. Some women are concerned about "bulking up" which generally won't happen unless your sticking a needle in your butt full of garbage you shouldn't be taking anyway. Testosterone is one of the muscle "bulking" agents and women just don't have enough in their bodies to "bulk up".

    There's also Yoga and/or Pilates.

Remember, NONE of these suggestions are going to kick your butt like P90X was going to do. Then again, after two months, you weren't getting results you were looking for anyway.

    I hopes these ideas help.

There is a possibility you are not eating enough. If you are burning that many calories with exercise your body may be going into "storage" mode. It's hard to say though with not knowing your height, weight, and age. Also, how long have you been doing this diet? It takes 3500 calories lost to loose a pound. So in theory if you are burning 400 calories and eating 1400 you should loose 2 lbs a week. That is, if your weight, height, and age is an average 2000 calorie a day diet. If you are older..like late 30s or more then your daily intake goes below 2000 calories. Are you sleeping enough at night? Do you have excessive stress at home or work?
