Hi. I'm new to this forum, obviously. I was hoping that some of you ladies could help me out

I'm 21 and have been suffering from bulimia on and off for the past six years. For the past 4-5 months I have done really well. If I throw up, it's MAYBE once a week. Anyway, My daily diet as of late normally consisted of fresh fruits, salads, loads of fiber, you know, the works. Yet I magically gained 7lbs. I'm possibly thinking that it's because my body wasn't getting enough calories, so I've recently started Weight Watchers..
But I'm extremely skeptical about it. I'm worried that my body will gain even more weight instead of lose. I guess what I'm looking for is some piece of mind about this. Is my subconscious psyching me out? Or will the extra amount of food i consume to meet my daily points quota really make me gain weight? I'm too scared to get on a scale because I feel huge no matter how little/much I eat.
I'm currently 140 and I'd like to get back down to my healthy 120.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I think the thing you need to consider is why you were/are bulimic... there is a reason and if you focus on that, as well as excercise and drinking water, it won't be the case.

Weight Watchers is that Australian only? But if you eat, fruits, salad, fibre are you also having lean meats, calcium by way of eggs? I can't see how you can put on 7lbs (which is English) from eating no fat.....

I suggest a nutritionist to guide you for your height/weight as to what to eat, 5 small meals a day with all the right ingredients and water and excersise is the best.

    Best wishes.

Think of your body as a fine tuned machine. It comes with a users manual that says "I am this tall, with this bone structure, and I need approximately ____ calories daily to give my body what it needs. I also need daily physical activity. If your body needs 1300 calories to be healthy, you cannot trick it into thinking it only needs 50. Instead....the trick will be on you. Why? Because during that time you ate 50 calories (just using 50 as an example), your body said "There is NO WAY I can work under these conditions", so your metabolism slowed down....and slowed down....etc. Then when you started eating regularly again, your metabolism was still at a snails pace.

What is your height and current activity level? I'd like to know this before I make any suggestions.
