Okay folks, take a look around on this board and others.... sooo many people wanting to lose weight, learn how to get healthy, learn about the right foods, exercises, etc. Here's your chance. Now is as good a time as any, you are only competing with yourself.

    1. Weigh in, and take your measurements (hips, waist, and chest). Post these in your beginning thread.

    2. Each week I will give you a new exercise (or a couple depending on their difficulty) to add into your existing daily routine.

    3. Log in daily and discuss your exercise for the day, how many calories you burned, etc. Share ideas and motivation. If you did not exercise that day, you should still post.

    4. At the end of each week (or more if you want...) post your weekly nutrition wrap up and let the team know how you're doing. Example: This week I reached 30 grams of fiber per day 4 out of 7 days, and 60 grams of protein per day 6 out of 7 days. I stayed within my calorie range 7 out of 7 days.

    5. At the end of each week in the same post as your nutrition wrap up, take your measurements. For every inch or centimeter lost TOTAL I would like you to cut a strip of paper to match it. Tape it to the strip you cut the week before, and so on. (If you have ALREADY been doing the challenge and know how many inches or centimeters you've lost thus far, go ahead and cut your starting strip. )

    6. You must set a reward yourself weekly. Rewards cannot be in the form of food or drink. Rewards should be things you enjoy but don't often get to do, something you've been wanting to buy, a day off from work, a mini vaca, etc etc etc. This is VERY important.

No excuses allowed. If you don't have a fabric measuring tape, I don't either but I'm going to take a piece of string, yard, thread (whatever) and do my measurements, then measure the string with a tape measure. You DO NOT have to have a gym membership to be a part of this challenge.

So, let me know if you're UP FOR THE CHALLENGE and I will post the beginning post on Tuesday (I figure lots of you have family plans tomorrow so I'm cutting you some slack. ) The goal for this challenge is to push ourselves and train our bodies to do more than we normally do with GREAT results. Are you in??

Yay! I can't wait to add more to my excersize routine!

I weighed in at 163 today. I took my measurements earlier, but I'm not sure how accurate they are. I couldn't find my measuring tape. I might have packed it already. My measurements were 40 1/4", 35", and 42".

I'm looking forward to going through the new challenge and adding to our fitness team.

Brilliant! It is late afternoon here and I am off to the gym tonight where, if I remember I will weigh myself. Won't be in the nick though!! And it will be on a full stomach! Catch you all when we begin in earnest.

    Yay!!!!!

We were supposed to be doing the paper thing? Um.....oops.....

I didn't weigh myself , because my mother won't buy me a freaking scale, but last time I weighted in, I was 138 and my goal for the last one was to lose 3lbs.
But I did measure myself this morning right after I got up and went pee.
My waist is 32'', my chest is 39'' (but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right or not), and I don't have my hips. I'll do that in the morning when I get up.

And for me, I want to set a personal goal for myself. I have a doctor's app in 3 weeks. I feel pretty confidant that I have lost my 3 lbs. I want to weight between 115-125 by next year. But when I go into my doctor's, I want to weight 130. It's only 5 lbs, which means I should be able to lose around 1 and a half pounds a week. So, I'm feeling pretty confidant that when I walk into my app, I will weight 130.

I wonder if posting our BMI would be a good option for us? When I consider all your weights and then look at mine, I am nowhere near as light as I feel!!! (And I think look, because people are constantly asking me if I have lost weight - as if to say I am too thin!!LOL) I stay a constant 60kg or 132lb, so although I am very happy with that, maybe BMI is a better way to go do you think? Or at least another perspective anyway.

The challenge has been a great motivational tool! It feels like I have my own team cheering me on, sharing my victories, and helping me through areas I need more work. Getting a healthier life style going is a lot of work. This has made it so much easier for me because I'm checking in and posting my day with my team. It makes me hold myself accountable. Not only that, but it's great to be able to share your accomplishments with others who are fighting the same battle. Join the challenge and let's help each other meet our goals!

I'm doing some yard work for my dad to earn some extra moving money. That'll help with my reward too, because I want to pick out a nice bed. My excersize is literally helping me earn my reward. Yay!

I'm not sure how my jog is gonna go tomorrow. It might turn into a walk instead. Lol. I'm sore and torn up. My legs don't feel to bad, so hopefully I can get over the mental hurdle and do my work out. My arms hate me though. The air has gotten dry, so my skin is getting sensitive. I spent 5 1/2 hours on my dad's yard, and I look like I had a fight with some kind of wild cat. Lol. His yard had a big limb in it he needed sawed up, and the branches just shredded my forearms! I spent at least 2 hours just sawing branches and trimming the trees. To say that my arms are sore is an understatement. I get to go back for the backyard tomorrow.

I split the different yardwork up on loseit, and it logged my calories burned at 1,577! My shoulders aren't surprised by that number at all.

I'm getting back on the horse tomorrow after a week off from the gym. I'll dig up my tape measure and use the gym scale. I'm not monitoring my food, but I'll let you guys know about my exercise
