I had a very high cholesterol level (300) and also I was at a high risk of heart diseases, then I started using generic LIPITOR. Also I was recommended a fat free diet and some exercises.
It’s easily explainable the cause of increased cholesterol – Diet. Whatever we are eating, our body gets the fat saturated. It is not that whatever you eat is converted to fat. Some essential fats are required for our body functioning, but the extra foods that contains high saturated fat has more chances of resulting in increased level of cholesterol in our body.
It’s almost 2 yrs, all my high cholesterol symptoms have reduced and now my level is 200.
LIPITOR has helped me very much...
I found some interesting information about generic lipitor, I like to share with you below one

Interesting comments...
As I type this, there is NO generic lipitor on the market yet. Two of the top five generic prescrition drug manufacturer's have applied for and received permission from the FDA (U.S.) to start producing it, but NONE has hit the marketplace yet.
Lipitor, the world's best selling drug over the last decade ($33 million U.S. dollars per day, every day over that time period) is a type of drug known as a Statin. There are many different statin molecules on the market, both generic and branded that do an excellent job of reducing LDL or "bad" cholesterol levels. So Lipitor is not the only one available or is it the most cost effective on a per pill basis.
ONLY your personal physician knows which statin is "best" for you and your cholesterol lowering needs.
While it has been believed, for years, that high levels of LDL cholesterol are "bad" for us and contribute to heart disease and increased heart attacks, etc., new information has come to light over the last several years. It is now believed that the relationship between all of the numbers...LDL, HDL and Triglycerides play a more important role then just focusing on one of the three.
Optimal numbers for each of the three are as follows:
Total Cholesterol less than 200
LDL (bad) less than 100
HDL (good) 60 and HIGHER
Triglycerides Less than 150
Additional FYIs:
Your body produces ALL of the cholesterol it needs on a daily basis to maintain a healthy status. 40% of your cholesterol level is generic (and we can't pick our parents) while 60% is the foods you choose to consume.
