I have gained 7 lbs since starting my new birth control about 6 weeks ago. I cannot seem to get it off. Normally, I can watch what I eat for a few weeks and exercise and it'll budge but I am having a time and a half here.

Any suggestions on how to get a jump start? The holidays are coming up and I def don't want an extra 7 lbs on me when I was already trying to lose 10!

Hmm. Some of the hardest weight to take off is that caused by hormonal BC. I know from experience.

Maybe try adding the psyllium husks and black strap molasses into your daily diet. Even doing it once or twice a day will help reduce bloating etc.

Also, try some interval cardio training. Get on the treadmill, walk for 3 minutes, sprint full speed for 1 minute, walk for 3 minutes, sprint full speed for 2 minutes, walk for 3 minutes, sprint for 1, etc etc etc

Thanks BD! Yeah I probably should work on getting more fiber. I even thought about cutting out my grains again for a week or two just to stick to my Paleo thing again. It's just SOOO much harder when there is a boy around eating all the time And yeah, he's gained weight too but considering he already gets like um, 600-700 cals more a day than me sucks

I hate all this fat for cushioning babies that I don't have yet lol

I was on a generic pill BC for 2 years. I went from being 110 lbs in summer, 115 in winter, to 120-125 lbs. I thought it was just me getting my womanly curves (started when i was 20). I just recently switched to the ring, and all of that weight melted off of me! It's winter now, and i weigh 115lbs again! I could not believe it. Sometimes you just have to find the right BC. As for weight loss, i always see a lot of weight coming off when i do strength training, pilates helped with that, but like a fluid pilates where you don't get breaks. The sprinting thing is also good. Good luck!
