oh crystal. i am glad that your first hosting of the thanksgiving dinner turned out great. it is quite complicated sometimes to get everything cooked and hot all at the same time. went to hubby's family for the second dinner. it was very nice but i certainly was not very hungry. his neice and nephew were well behaved for once so we didn't h ave to listento his sister yell the whole time. mmmmm. strawberry rhubarb pie!!! my mom use to make a strawberry rhubarb jam. it was like the filling of the pie on toast! back to the newplan this morning. gonna exercise this morning. gonna do some yoga and turbo jam. then a dog walk. might spend the day with my grandson or might just wash laundry and go to the grocery. not sure yet. it is early. i cannot wait to measure and weigh myself. i am sooooooo excited. good thing we are doing it sunday tho. it gives me time to get rid of some of this thanksgiving feast! i love a day off from work. have a great day all.

Cyndie, lol, you have to be!

I didn't log anything yesterday, which may be a good idea... I had a small peice of turkey at my grandmother's along with corn, greenbeans, mashed potatoes, a peice of cheese, some onions, a deviled egg, and a few peices of celery. I also had two glasses of iced tea and two pieces of pie. When I went to my other grandmother's I had a peice of celery with somekind of dip on it, and my aunt made a type of chocolate ecliar with tiramisu tricks and a peice is about 500 calories. And when I can home, my mom made a pumpkin pie and I had a small peice of it. Oh, and I had two pepsi's yesterday. So, the three peices of pie and the chocolate was probably my calorie total without the other food.

And tomorrow I will be going to the circus and shopping (if it's not raining). Today though, we are going to go to wal-mart on Black Friday and actually shop....yay.. and if we're lucky, we'll get a new camera since ours left us... I think the camera's at Walmart-the Kodak Easyshare- are only $50 I think...

yea chey, i didnt record my calories yesterday either but i know i was over. but like i said, its was one day and i am not gonna get down about it. today, i am back on track. did my yoga and a long walk with the dog in the morning. gonna get some exercise in this afternoon.

gibson 5 years old is a hard age for children. they are not babies anymore but they don't quite fit in with the other children yet. they are learning all about there new found independence. they need guidence. i remember when my youngest was 5. he went thru this very stubborn stage where he thought he could just do whatever he wanted. it seemed like i was always correcting him and it was getting to be a constant battle. so i did some research (this was before computers so ... yes... i actually went to the library!) and i tried positive reinforcement technique. even if he just shut the light off i made a huge deal of how good he was being. i started focusing onthe good things he was doing with huge praise and before you know it he was seeking out good praise and it changed his behavior. took about a week.

i have done absolutely nothing today (besides exercise this morning). i watched tv all day and took a huge nap. gonna go watch judge judy. it has been an amazing day off.

I totally agree with you Cyndie, and most of the time i do positive reinforcement with her but she just get's a day here or there that's she's out of controll lol. and nothing works with her but i just take it as a day and hope that the next one is better, but sometimes it helps to vent, takes the frusteration level down a bit on my side. I have been looking after her sence she was only 10 months old, and i've had her brother sence he was only 3 days old (not full till he was a year but occationally sence then) so i truly do love them like my own, and i see them sometimes more then there parents do cuz there mom works shift work and there dad works in construction. so the weeks that she works 12 h shifts she barely sees them on thoes days, they come here at 6:30am and don't go home till 7:30pm and then they head right to bed at home cuz the older one has school every other day. but then she get's more days off the kids see there mom the days off but......ya i have them a lot lol. I call them my pretend kids to my friends and family, cuz there involved with everything i do with friends and family. i've even had them for christmas dinner at my hubbys parents a few times, (we do dinner at there house on boxing day) Anyways so my calories.... intake was 2023 my output was 3044 and my net was -1021. my numbers weren't great cuz we went out to A and W for dinner cuz my sister in law is in the hospital and we went to see her. then by the tiem we got out of there it was late and we were starving.... i really need to prepair some stuff to have in the freezer for nights like that anyways i guess your all measureing and weighing tomorow.... I will be on monday as i don't have a scale here at home i have to go to the dietishion to do mine. but i will post it on monday anyways. and i'm looking forward to the next challenge.

Great good on the measurments and weight loss Cyndie! It may be only two pounds, but it is a good thing!

Gibson, I'm excited to see you at the next challenge!

    My measurments are:
    Hips: 36 1/2in
    Waist: it went inbetween 32 1/2 and 33, so I'm saying 32 1/2-33
    Bust: 38
All in all, I lost an inch in my hips, my waist...maybe half and inch, and my bust hasn't changed. I did weight myself at my aunt's yesterday and sad news. It said I am 137 if that's right, that means I gained 5lbs back. But in the last week or so, I have been slacking off with my eating and exercise. So, I am not going to post it for a while until I get another chance to weigh myself.

I will try and post the new challenge tonight, if not, I will post it in the morning before school. Hope to see everyone there!

Great job gals! You're right, slow and steady is the way to go. Don't stress about the 5lbs Chey. What we're doing is working, we just have to get back at it. There are more holidays coming. Let's get ourselves ready. Lol.

I'm not sure what the deal is with my weight. I got two different results from the scale. Either going cheap wasn't the best idea or I lost and gained 3lbs really fast...like in 30 seconds. Lol. I reset everything and it said 172. I was 165. Then I reset it again and it said 169. Then it said 172 again. I think I'll use the girlie explanation and blame it on my scale.

    My measurements starting part 4 were chest-38", waist-32 3/4", hips-39". Today: chest-38", waist-32 1/2", hips-38 1/2". Not a noticeable change, but it's something.

I want to bring my focus back to nutrition for the next month. I've been working hard with my exercise routine, but there are some areas I need to slow down with and take it down a notch. It was causing to much strain. With the holidays, sweets and breads, cookies and cakes, will be in my face a lot. I want to build a gingerbread house with my kids this year too. Lol. I think it would be wise for me to set up a system to moderate the junk better. What I eat effects my workouts too. Yesterdays workout was nice and smooth, but there were a few days last week that I just felt ten times heavier and I was sweating buckets. I don't feel like I get as much out of it when it's not fun.

Crystal, I'm trying not to. I'm thinking that since I didn't do the same thing every day and I started doing things on oppisote days if it confused my body a little? And about the scale, my aunt's did that to me one time and I think she said I was using it too many times or I was doing it wrong or something.
That's not a huge, huge change but it is something!

We were thinking about making a gingerbread house too! But I think we're going to try and make gingerbread first so we don't screw it up horribly. I understand where you're coming from! At my grandmother's house (my dad's moms), there's always a snack laying out or something to munch on or asking if you want a second peice of pie since there's at least 3 different kinds to pick. That's how it was with me about a week ago. I would attempt to work out, but then 10minutes into the workout, I felt like lead, but when I would eat dinner, I felt like . For the next challenge, I'm going to have it focus more on nurtitrion and slightly less on exercise. It'll still be about exercising, but I want to add in more of, making sure you get your fiber and protien in.
