If i have a healthy balanced diet of about 1200 calories a day, how much exercise should i be doing to knock off a stone in just over a month?

+ When i say exercise i mean running and power walking etc. Also, the weather in the UK at the moment is pretty rubbish, its very cold and extremely foggy + will probably start snowing heavily soon. What other exercises can i do to lose weight effectively if the weather becomes a problem?

Your diet may be healthy and balanced, but is your output (calories burned) greater than your input(calories consumed)?

First off, more info is needed:

    Height
Current weight and target weight (also include the duration of this weight loss)
    Age
    Gender

I think these are important to know. Basic rule is burn off more calories than you ingest in order to lose weight. But the way you lose it should be healthy enough in relation to your age, height, gender and how much weight you are starting with.

Do you have any medical conditions we need to consider as well?

not much. But it’s enough, when combined with a healthy diet, to lose weight at about a pound a week. If you want to lose it quicker, double the length of time to about an hour, or simply run instead of walking. Swimming is an excellent calorie burner as is a brisk bicycle ride as well.
