    Hi everyone, I was wondering if any of you could help me.
    I am 19 years old and wanting to loose some weight.
    I am only 5'2/159cm and weigh about 134lb/61kg. This puts my bmi at 24.1 which is very close to overweight. Last year I was at about 125lb/57kg so I would love to get back to that.
    The problem is I am studying at a full time dance school so am constantly needing energy. I find it hard to lower my calorie intake and still have enough energy and concentration to dance all day. Being a dancer I should also probably be a lot slimmer, especially since I am going to start auditioning for work next year. I also live away from home so am completely responsible for my own eating.
    Does anyone have any advice? How can I loose 9lbs healthily, while still have energy and remaining strong??
    I wish that I could visit a nutritionist and get a proper meal plan but I can't afford that

    Hi SD. Dancing sounds such a wonderful career! Good luck with it.
    You could try upping your protein and fibre while lowering some of your overall calories perhaps. The protein will give you energy and help sustain muscle growth so that having fewer calories won't effect your stamina levels. The recommended protein intake is around 60gms per day so try doubling that and see what happens. If you are unsure of protein levels etc try a calorie count website, they have all that info there.
