Default Fitness Challenge VI- A New Start to A New Year!

This is a beginning of a new year and a new month to start being a better you! This month will more than likely be like all the other months, but I want to change it up a little. A lot of us have been dissatisfied with the way our bodies look and feel. The New Year is a time for resolutions. Why not start the New Year off with a Resolution to become a healthier, happier, skinner, you!

    Rules:

1: As all the other challanges, post your height, weight and measurments (hips, waist, bus) in your first post. Measure and weigh in the morning right after you get up and use the bathroom on the first day and don't re-check until the last day.

2: Fiber and protein are an excellent way to keep full, along with eating the right food. I know not everyone can get on every night and post their fiber, protien, calories and exercise for the day. So for this month, once a week (perferably on the weekend), post your weekly summary of fiber, protein, and over/under calories.

3: Exercise is a top way of losing weight. Every body has their own way of exercising, and I don't like telling people what to do in terms of how they should exercise. So for this month, once a week I'll suggest a move with a number of reps and sets. If you feel like trying it for a week, feel free! If not, you can always modify it to fit you or not do it at all. And if you find an exercise that you really like and want to share, please feel free to let everyone else know about it!

4: Water!! Water is a naturally occuring thing in the world. Why not use what our earth gives us? A person who doesn't drink coffee should drink 8 cups a day. If you drink coffee, you need to drink the same amount of water as you did coffee (and it doesn't count in the 8cups) in order to kinda cancel them out. If you're not a fan of plain water, you can add water flavors (most stores carry boxes of them) and make tea~just make sure the tea is decafe.

5: This is something new this month that I want to try. When a person starts to lose weight, they make a goal for themselves. But, one of the mistakes people make is giving themselves a short amount of time to lose a lot of weight. In this month, I want everyone to make a goal for themselves in their first post of a weight goal they wish to acheive by the end of the month. Please make it only a pound or two, not 10lbs or something.

6: This is also something new. I want everyone to take a picture of yourself (face, whole body, side view, doesn't matter) and post it. I wish to see one of everyone at the begining and end of the month. You may not be seeing a change, but others may and can help encourage you that your changing. And I feel I shouldn't need to say this, but I will. PLEASE have clothes on!! If you want to take a picture of yourself in nothing for yourself or your SO, do so. But PLEASE don't post it!!!

I think that's all...if anyone feels I missed something, please say something!

Let's start the New Year off with a bang!

hey so i uploaded a pic and looks like i'm the first one to post too lol. So here goes,

    Weight 389lbs

I hope it's ok but i measure more than the three so i'm gonna put them all in. it helps me to check all the places as i'm so big. so here they are

    bust: 64.5
    arms: 22
    belly: 61
    weist: 55
    ab: 70.5

and now a goal. well i know you said not to make it to big a number lol and i know that it sounds like a lot and if i was a lot smaller it would be but my goal is 9lbs this month. i would like to hit the 380 mark by the end of this month, witch in the past i've been able to loose 7lbs a month so i think it's an obtainable gole if i really push myself in actually getting active

I would like to wish everyone luck on there journey this month and i look forward to hearing what everyone's doing.

Wonderful Cheyenne!!! I'm in!! Will post measurements and pic as soon as I can, though it may be tomorrow. I'm feeling like getting back on the motivation train after all that studying, then two weeks off with a nasty cold and poor eating! I'm READY!!!

Gibson, it's perfectly fine if you want to measure more than what I said. I have a question though; when I do measure my legs and arms (which is every now and then), I do each arm/leg seperatly. How do you do yours?
9??! Dang girl! lol, I'm glad you're super confident about losing that much weight! But I'm glad that you've been using weight so fast!

BD, yay!!! We missed you! Will you find out how you did on the tests? I'm glad you're feeling better! And I know how the poor eatings been! I've been trying not to do that, but it's hard to get back on track after a day or two off!

I have my measurements and weight, but not a picture. I still need to take a shower and then I'll take a picture. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to do a walking video after I have a snack or not....

i just do one arm usually lol and it's always the same arm that i measure, i don't really care what the number says so i don't worrie about doing both and i only do one thigh also lol. and yes i'm going to goal for 9lbs lol, idk if i can do it but i'm gonna try really hard this month. and i know that that will slow down after i loose a bit but for now i'm loosing at a pretty steady rate. i just hope it keeps up that way for an other couple of months lol mabey not 9 but i'd at least like to be able to do 2 a week like thay say is normal lol. or realistically at least 5 a month, not sure what will happen only time will tell. but my leg has to start feeling better before i can do any exercise so that's making things hard, i really really want to and i have the energy and motivation to exercise but i'm afraid i'm gonna hurt my leg more.

Ok! I understand. When I do, I have to do each leg/arm seperatly. One arm/leg is bigger than other side normally
I'm crossing my finger for you girl! I'm glad! Did you go back to the doctor yet? Take it easy for a week or so and see if that doesn't hurt your leg.

    My measurements:

    Hips: 35 1/2
    Waist: 32
    Bust: 39 1/2
    Weight: 130

My goal is to lose two pounds. Not a lot, but I want to start off small and see if I can lose weight in a certain time frame.

Ok, I am trying to post a picture of myself, but it keeps showing really large and it doesn't matter how much I try and re-size it smaller.

yea! nice to see you back bd!

on a bad note, i weighed myself and took my measurements. i am back up to 140 lbs. but my measurements did not change 39-33-36. not sure how that happened but i was kinda bummed out yesterday when i weighed myself. oh well, life goes on. my goal is 133 lbs. 7 lb loss. only reason my goal is so high is because i think the 4 lbs that i gained in 3 days (i weighed myself at the end of fitness challenge V and i was 136) is going to just fall back off. so it's really like a 3 lb loss. either way. today i am going to do "I want those abs" and my cardio. what is everyone else going to do today?
