    1. Drink green tea- green tea cleans out your bodies toxins that it stores.

    2. Drink water- drink 8-10 glasses of water per day.

    3. CalorieCount- there is a website called caloriecount and there is also an app for your iphone it keeps track of what your eating and what exercise your doing. It also gives you a grade each day.

    4. Join a gym. Classes like zumba and dancing really get me motivated and the best part, they are FUN!

    5. Eat fruit & Veggies

    6. Try to go light on things like mayo, ranch, and other stuff.

    7. Have one cheat item a week, you work hard, you deserve it!

    8. Plan meals ahead of time so you are not eating out a lot. There are tons of websites that will help you plan meals just google it.

    9. Set a goal and if you reach your goal reward yourself with something you earned. Maybe new clothes, a trip, new shoes, something small

    10. Word hard- stay motivated and don't give up.

    Hope this helps.

Good for you. I am currently struggling on my diet and getting back to working out regularly. With the stress at work - state assessments, paperwork, parents, students and home life, notwithstanding my allergies...I can barely find the strength to get back. Hence, I find myself stress eating.

My weight is still the same, but my toned muscles are slowly going away. Your advice # 10 ... I've got to remember.

I forgot one, get a workout buddy! It really helps even though it seems a little foolish. Oh and don't stress eat! I do this all the time especially when I have a bad day of teaching.

Yeah it's really tough with teaching. I buy those "eating right" lunches and you just pop them in the microwave and i take a few fruits like tangerines and apples. My problem is I find myself needing caffeine to get me through the day. I know how stressful assessments can be and parents and grading. You can do it, just reward yourself when you reach a small goal. We can motivate each other!

I am going to try again to hit the gym tomorrow after my teaching hours. I have tried going to school at 7am, even if my official start is 8am. I get a lot of things done and because of that, I get out of school 30 minutes after the dismissal bell. If I can keep this time up, I can easily fit in my workout. I'll just have to bring my workout clothes and change later.

Too bad, my former workout buddy, the PE teacher bailed on me because she's too busy with all the games happening after school. It sucks. If I keep counting on my husband for a workout buddy, it's like waiting for the crow to turn white!

haha working out with my husband is nearly impossible! He wants to be the leader all the time. Sounds like a good plan, going in early. You could even start small like 3 days a week. Do you have any workout equipment at home?

Great clean eating habits. The only one I would question is the "cheat" food. I actually don't consider any food at all to be cheating although some are preferable to others, health wise. What I mean is that food should be eaten in moderation and if I feel like an ice cram or cookie, I have one - even daily if I want. I just don't eat a ton of them! To label any food as "cheat" turns it into "bad" which I totally disagree with. BUT don't overdose on fries and sweets!!!! I eat both now and again and don't consider it "cheating". Food is a great pleasure in life, a gift we have been given, and to not experiment with it a little isn't doing our mental and emotional selves any good. And lets face it, some of us are partial to a slice of pie on occassions!

That's a great way to look at it Snooks! It's just im an over indulger in food sometimes so if i just set aside one snack or food i like once a week im good. But I call it cheat food because it's usually like Rocky Road ice cream or something with tons of calories. Moderation is hard too. Sometimes I just crave more food than my body should. I think it's due to stress like Cat said from teaching all day.

Argh, crud! I am so swamped with IEP's this whole week I cannot even scratch my back anymore! (But hey, look I have the time to be on here. LOL..shhh). Cut the story short, I still haven't gone to the gym!

But, but...I am keeping up with my getting to work an hour early and go home on time. If I keep that up and my paperwork frees up a bit, I'll get there. Whew!

I don't have any workout equipment at home but free weights and P90-X workout videos. I also plan to get back on it. The gym has an indoor track so I plan to keep my membership.
