You need to start off small. Do you excersize? Start by doing some walking 3 times a week. What is your everyday diet like? Take a good look at what you are eating everyday and try to do some small adjustment to it. Stock up on fruits and veggies so when you feel the need to eat you will have those. To lose weight you HAVE to make change, thats the only way you will lose and keep it off. I know you said you tried all type of diet but have you tried weight watchers?

Patricia has good advice.
Definitely start small and work your way up so you don't become discouraged.

I would begin by starting a food log and an activity log for a week. See what you are eating and how much activity you get.

To lose the weight and keep it off you are going to have to make permanent lifestyle changes.

Set your long term goal. (What do you want to weigh?) Then break it down into small attainable goals and work towards those.

Your kids are at the age now that they are developing lifelong habits as far as physical activity goes. Are there any outdoor things your kids enjoy that you can do with them?

Hey try alli pills. I weight 225 pounds and went down to 200. Now my goal is going down to 170. Walking with my 3 year old has really helped lose it quicker. Also I take her to the park and walk around and play with her which helps me.

The only thing is though, the Alli pills are only going to work IF you make changes in the way you eat, and in fact, if you DONT change the way you eat, they could make you sick. They are a great TOOL to help boost your weightloss IN ADDITION to changing your lifestyle, but they are by no means a miracle drug.

Of course, Janie, I'm sure you know that since you've had such success with them (GREAT job, btw, Congrats!) I just wanted to clarify it for Mamie.
