Default Has anyone tried OptiFast?

I was wondering if anyone has tried OptiFast and had any success? I have heard that it is one of the safest liquid diets there is and has been around for many many years is this true? Any feedback would be great. Thanks!

I have tried to in the past before and for me personally it wasn't successful. All it did was make me feel more hungry where I ended up eating more food! I guess I am not the biggest fan fo liquid diets as my trainer always talked about how it doesn't teach you to eat healthy etc.

I would go with eating healthy - cut back on carbs, lots of vegs, salads and water. That with regular exercise e.g. walking or running should do the trick.

Best of luck with it.

Default Yes, I have.

I am on it now- It is a highly restrictive liquid diet, but if you get passed the first week you would be amazed how much easier it gets day by day. People complain that you do not learn how to "eat Better" and gain the weight back, but at kaiser they require a maintainence program after your goal weight which is months of groups-nutrition classes, cooking classes, health classes, and support. It is all up to you, optifast is just like any other tool, you still have to put in your effort and dedication to a lifestyle change. It is awesome for those who like immediate results and can stick to CHANGE. Daily pottasium supplement and weekly blood test to monitor potassium levels are also required. It is hard, but I am happy at the end of the day.

Smile No Carbs!!

I had my first baby 20yrs old and put on 15kgs, i was still 90kg after the birth.
I really wanted to lose weight so i tried Opti fast just the milkshakes, i stuck to it for nearly two weeks and no weight really shifted.

Then one of my friends suggested the No Carbs diet i tried it and also walked everyday for no more then an hour. i lost 10kgs in 2 and a half weeks!! ive been on it ever since ive stopped excercising though but im now 69kgs after bein 90kg...

The carbs diet is pretty easy you still get to have your bacon n eggs in the morning just without the toast...!!
