Wow....

I think you guys motivate all the ladies here! Awsome. I know how it feels when you feel your pants starting to drop! It is definately a good feeling. Keep up with those good and healthy attitude and share them with all of us here...Somehow I don't feel "alone" in this diet. All these while I was doing it (other diets) all by myself...and it is no fun. Now I know I have friends who are really trying out there...and I feel good to be here Thank you everyone.

I am not going to step on the scale yet - not til Monday...though I am about to get my period - I guess I will have the same problem you guys had. Just be patience, right?

Default Give me your thoughts please....

I customized my shake this morning. This is what I did. In order for me to get 20g of soy/whey combo protein, I put 2 cups of light soy milk plus a half scoop of my whey protein. This equaled 20 on the nose. Then, I ate half a banana. What do you think?

Gosh, I really wish the woman who wrote the article would get back to me! UGH! I will try her again today. thanks.

Smile Checking in: Day 4

So against my better judgement, I stepped on the scale this morning... and I'm down 5 pounds! (granted, I need to lose about 140lbs.) -- unbelievable. (It should be noted that I've been at the gym every day, counting my calories, writing everything down and drinking my water, so who's to say if it is due to the shake -- but it does fill me up until lunchtime).

I guess the true test will be when I go back to WW on Saturday -- they can weigh me with their scale... and we'll see where I am.

Anyway... tried something new today... Chocolate Soy milk, Milk Chocolate flavor whey powder, frozen banana and (since i had such success with them yesterday) a couple frozen cherries. Couldn't really taste the cherries (unlike yesterday) - but I blended it a little longer today and it seemed to take the chalkiness away.

That's my valentine's day chocolate for the day...

Hi Healthy People,

I started the soy and whey diet two days ago. I got a little discourage yesterday when I got on the scales and gained 1 lb, but the good news is this morning I lost 3 1/2 lbs!!! I am going to only weigh in once a week now.

I love the shakes - make my own. Vanilla Soy Milk with the vanilla whey and mixed berries. I even put in a scoop of fat free vanilla frozen yougart in it once. Yummy. This site is very motivating. Love it. I too - like so many have been on many diets. La Weight Loss, Atkins to name a few. Like every other diet you have to stay on it and adjust your lifestyle. I have a herniated disc and am waiting to have surgery so I cannot exercise much, but I know I need to get 30 lbs off and hopefully I will feel better.

Wink Exercise

For those of you who are just beginning to exercise, it is not uncommon for the scale to tell you that you gained, because muscle weighs more than fat and I always go up a little when I first get started on exercising if I haven't done it lately.
I did the frozen cherries in a chocolate shake and it was also yummy. I also add some flax seed, because I have a sluggish bowel. I also eat some nuts for my snack, and the little yellow fish. I love the apple and peanut butter, and I add some flax seed with that also.
I haven't weighed myself either, but my pants feel looser.

Hi. I just joined this site today. In fact, I'm so new that I haven't taken the time to complete my profile yet. I'll do it later. This is my very first time in a "chat" room. I'm so glad I stumbled onto this site. The stores no longer carry the early February issue of First magazine, so I haven't been able to find this whey/soy protein diet. Would you mind emailing me the diet at beckytwalk7yahoo.com I really would appreciate it. I hope the diet works even half as well as it does for all of you. I can't seem to lose more that 1 pound a month on diets. I really hope this one works for me. Thanks. I'll keep you posted.
