Also I have a question...

I need to be taking in my black strap molasses (plantation brand) every other day to maintain my anemia and other nutrients. I take 2 tablespoons in 1 cup of low fat yogurt.

This would not equal to a 100 cal snack, but it's a necessity or I become very sick. The BSM also keeps the constipation in check.

I mix this in yogurt since I can only tolerate it that way lol I don't think it's going to taste good in my shake.

So, my question is, will my cup of yogurt and BSM throw me off badly?

Hi Tabby;

I don't think it will hurt. Just figure in what the calories are and adjust it for the days you have to take the BSM. I sometimes mix in a low fat yogart w/my shakes to mix it up a bit. so I know they are 100 cal so I just don't eat the 2nd 100 cal snack.

I have only been on the diet since Tues and I told myself I was not going to weigh myself until next tues...WELL I couldn't stand it so I weighed myself this morning...not first thing but after I had gotten ready for work and had a cup of coffee. So before I got dressed I stepped on the dreaded scale. I have lost 4.5 lbs already. I know it's probably water weight but I haven't seen that scale move but up for the last 3 years. So I am stoked...

I have been following the diet pretty close to what it says. I may use a little more soy or whey at times in the shake and when I do the Helathy Choice meals I always add more veggies. So even doing that I am still losing.

4.5 down (in 3 days mind you) 44.5 to go......WE CAN DO THIS!!!!!

Welcome.....

I just found this forum myself. I started this diet on Tues (see my other reply above). I know what you mean about the "skinny" friends. I have been pretty much overweight since I gave birth to my first child 27 years ago. I'd lose it, gain it etc...Well in 2000 I finally lost 85 kept it off for 5 years (I went from a 22-24 to a size 16)...Had a tummy tuck, breast reduc/lift for the "extra skin" which then made me a size 12, I was SO proud of myself. BUT I was still considered overweight by many....I was a size 12...Believe that..

Well as I mentioned in my other posts I lost my parents 4 months from each other in 05. I gained just about 60 lbs since then. Losing 50 is my goal. If I lose all the 60 I will be happy. I am not looking to be a size 0, 2, 5, 6, 8 or even 10. I want to be back in a 12 (my man likes a little meat...LOL).

So GOOD LUCK ....I am just taking one day at a time....

I was wondering if anyone has done 20g of whey and 20g of soy in ONE SHAKE.... just to get it over with for the day. and then eat healthy and stay under 1200-1500 calories??????

Angel,

I haven't tried that only because you are suppose replace two meals and eat one sensible meal. But I guess if you stay within the calorie range of 1200 - 1500, it should work.

Also, to some of you that have been discouraged because you are not seeing dramatic weight loss please hang in there. According to the scale, I have only lost 4 lbs. so far. However, I have lost several inches. I tried a jacket on yesterday that used to just fit and now it is so big that I can't even wear it with out getting it altered. I really couldn't believe that I had lost that many inches. My advice is to measure and weigh yourself. Eventually the weight loss will come but until it does you can see through your measurements that you are losing weight.
