To Selinabeana

That is exactly what I do. It is more conveniant to take a meal into work for lunch than try to mix up a shake. As long as your getting those three meals it doesn't matter when you have them.

Well I have been on the diet 11 days now and lost 3 and half kilo's. The first few kilos I lost in the first few days and only lost half a kilo in the last week but took much of the weekend off so that figures.

Good luck all.

tt

Cool

Hi all!
Well I'm going to finally give this a go. Read about it way back at the beginning of the year but it's taken a few times of catching my sillouette in a window or mirror lately to give me that last push. Uggh! I guess I really feel that I need some accountability and maybe that will help get me through the rough patches. I am notorius for starting something and then quitting. Would love to wake up "thin" one morning, but I've figured out that's not going to happen without a continuous effort on my part.....
So anyways I started today. Other than feeling a little off at times (probably sugar & carb withdrawals) I'm doing okay. My tummy does an awful lot of rumbling as I am drinking my soy/whey shake, and then continues rumbling for a while after. If I can get through a week of this, then I should be doing okay. I struggle with such serious junk food cravings, that my body feels like it is working against me. I know if I can get through the rough times and also form good habits, then the weight should come off fairly quickly. (knock on wood)
BTW...I'm 5'6 and 190lbs. (There! I said it! Start of being accountable!)

Count me in! I will be your cheerleeder if you'll be mine! (Anyone else need a cheering squad?)
Not sure if the tummy is rumbling from hunger or "digestive issues"....was pretty funny last night trying to watch a movie with hubby over the loud growls of my stomach....it was like it was vying for attention or something!!
Bonus was stepping on the scale this morning and being down 2lbs. The problem is that while I am able to lose weight, I have a really hard time not wanting to sabotage myself. Maybe I have a secret fear of looking "hot" again! lol
Anyways, on to day 2! Have a great day everyone, and "katycrane"....You Go Girl!

Talking No Plan ;)

I'm winging it! Yesterday I still had my:
- 2 cups of coffee with cream and sugar,
- 2 soy/whey shakes (1 cup plain silk soy, 1 scoop chocolate whey pwdr, 1 tsp instant coffee, ice)
- fruit (when the munchies hit...grapes, orange, kiwi)
- 2 90 calorie choc/rice snacks
- 1 frozen weight watchers meal (excellent by the way...)
-water
-tea (I have some Wu-Long tea that I ordered to lose weight magically *wink* a long time ago, so now I figured I could use it up instead of drinking coffee all day!)

No exercise for me!....Yet! I still feel too crappy to do that. Going away for a few days at the beginning of July, so planning to start a walking regimen when I get back. The kids will be at camp, so it be be perfect habit-forming time!

I am going to do my best not to cheat. I think that is my downfall. If I go a few days without the sweets (actually sweet and salty is my fav....give me a bag of chips and a chocolate bar any day!) then I actually lose my overpowering urges. It's only when I allow myself to give in to the desire, I tend to go all the way (ie. instead of having 1 brownie, I'll eat the whole pan and then bake another batch to hide the evidence....lol!) Then I am back to guilt, or saying 'I'll start again on Monday", or just feeling like such a loser that I dont even think about my food choices and binge until I fell sick......

I am only on day 2, so I don't have all of the answers. But I am commited to staying honest to myself and others about where I am at, and not hiding my ugly little food secrets anymore....(you know like if you are in a group of people and you feel like you should only eat the "healthy" things in front of them, then you stop at McD's on the way home to really satisfy yourself.....or you eat healthy all day long and then after everyone goes to bed you raid the junk food, cut a thin slice off the cake and then another and another....) Hmmm, I appear to have issues...lol

I'll keep you posted
