Congrats on your upcoming wedding Lavadac! Sounds like you are doing well already on this eating plan. Keep up the good work!

I've had a weekend filled with birthday parties at my house. I've been really good and only indulged at a minimum level....however, I woke up this morning feeling like I had a wicked hangover.....and I didn't drink any alcohol! Must have been the sugar or something. Anyways, it's just that much more incentive to give it 100% tomorrow now that things have settled down again.

Hope everyone else had a great weekend!

I weighed myself this morning 6/21/08 and now weight 146.8. My goal is 135 lbs and as toned as possible before my Aug. 10, 2008 wedding. At this rate I may even shoot for 130 (lol). I would love to read the article in First magazine to take advantage of all of the tips and advice given. I truly appreciate the posts that I have read (the first 35 pages and the last 3) and I suppose I am doing the eating plan correctly. Thanks ladies!!
Lavadac,

If you go back a few pages you will see how to download my v-card with my email address. Send me a message and I can send you the article.

Post UPDATE of PROGRESS

Hi all,

WOW I see we have more people trying this diet...YEAH!!!!!
Ok I know I have been slacking in my postes but I have been REALLY busy.. So so far I have lost 30lbs. Its been since 4/2 NOT BAD...

HOWEVER.....I have lost SO many inches. The weight is at a steady now but the inches are coming off. My goal was to fit back in my size 12. Well Now they are loose.

I am still doing my shakes morning and luch with fruit or yogart I did cut back on the 100 cal snacks to just 2-3 a day.....Then at night I do the lean cusine or healthy choice but now I just do my own thing just sensible. Sometimes I even have another shake.

I feel so much better. I have energy, my hair and nails look great and so does my skin. BUT the best part is my stomach. I had a "swollen irritated" stomach with constant heartburn...WELL its better...So much so that I don't get heartburn anymore. I still take the med just in case but the reson I know is that I forgot to take it for 2 days and no heartburn .

So even though I am at a standstill with the scale...I DON'T CARE...the inches are coming off and I feel GOOD!!!

So to you all who want to give up because the "scale" is not going down DON'T...stay with it you will see the results.

I use GNC brand whey and soy less carbs and cal but I also like the health food store brand Spiru-tein/Natures plus....It has more vitmans and 1 % fat and 9 carbs....I mix them up. Plus I stopped using the soy milk even the light because of the calories and carbs and SUGAR!! So now I just use cold water.....

GOOD LUCK ALL and I WILL TRY and POST MORE

Cool Loss of Appetite

I have just started this diet and I am finding that I am very full and don't feel like eating. Before starting this one, I had been on a low carb diet in order to keep my blood sugar down as it was getting up there. Just wonder if anyone else is having this problem?
Also, is the total protein for the day supposed to be 80 grams?
Thanks!

Smile Soya and whey

Hiya, I am new, and would really appreciate any information regarding the soya and whey diet. Is it similar to the Atkins? Is it based on high protein and low carbs?
I would be very grateful if anyone could help.
Thanks, H

Default Diet in a nutshell...

I just found my magazine with the article in it. This is a small blurb of what they say:

"Diet in a Nutshell:
Each day you'll enjoy 50 to 75 grams of protien. Aim for at least 20 grams from soy bars and shakes and 20 grams from whey bars and shakes. You'll also fill up on five delicious servings of fruit and vegetables, one well rounded dinner and two 100-calorie snacks daily."

The article gives recipes that blend both soy and whey together, so it seems you can do it a few different ways as long as you get both. Also for those concerned with "estrogen overload" from too much soy, apparently the whey is supposed to balance this out.

As for me, my energy levels have been very improved. My mood was a bit off the first few days as I was craving sugar so badly. But now things seem to be balancing out. I'm going to try not to weigh myself for a few days. The first 2 days on the diet I lost 4.5 pounds. Then I cheated a little and probably did not drink as much water as I needed, and the scale bounded right back up! Arrrgh! So, I'm back to trying not to cheat, telling myself that I'm worth it, no pain no gain, and all that other psychobabble.....
