I have been on this diet for about four/five weeks. I lost 3 kilo's in the first week but then it slowed to about half a kilo a week, which is still fine. I have a bit of a break over the weekends if I am socialising but still eat the most sensible options available.

Would love to hear others progress also.

Smile Soy and Whey Shake

I also read the article in "First" magazine. I called my physician immediately and talked to her about it. August last year I had to have a full hysterectomy, including a full blood transfusion before surgery due to fifteen pounds of fibroid tumors. I had been suffering for so long and wasn't doing well. My energy level and mental health has been somewhat better since surgery but not the way I would like it to be. My physician told me that it would be a great idea to do ! She told me to go to GNC and purchase the soy protein shake, and the whey protein. I went and of course had to by the chocolate in both. Costly! I paid about $35.00 for both. My physican also suggested that I do the shakes only once a day and try to portion control and concentrate on my lean proteins and vegetables and fruits. Due to also being diabetic I have to watch my diet. I am overweight and have recently started walking on my treadmill four times a week for about 45 minutes each time. I have lost three pounds in one week on the soy and whey shakes. They are delicious in my opinion and very filling. I have to watch myself because I don't get hungry for quite a long time after I drink them. I'm definately going to keep using them. If for nothing else, I will use for the protein you get. You get a total of 45 grams of protein per shake. I mix the shakes with 8 oz. of water also, to help my fluid intake for the day.

Smile Thanks

Thank you Talktime. Yes, I am feeling better. I would have to be. I was at the point where I couldn't even walk. I would get so out of breath being so anemic. That was no kind of a life for anyone. I know I don't like my weight and other things about myself at times, but I am so blessed to have gotten this far. It's a great feeling. Everyday is a battle in itself, but at least I can get on my feet and move and keep going now. Have a wonderful day !

Thumbs up

Hi I am just starting on this sight. I found the sight because i was looking for information on the removyl pills and did not like what I read about them. One of the commentores sugested this program for loosing wieght so I poked in hear. I like what I am reading. It's funny because my husband and I have been doing tghe smoothie thing for breakfast for a week now but withought the whey powder. We have been using soy milk and coconut milk along with spirulina and flax oil and frozen fruit. It helps to start our day off right. But we are looking to each loose wieght as well and this sounds great! I will get the whey powder tonight and begin using it tommorow. Thanx to all of you for sharing your progress!

Default A little discouraged....

So I am back from a week away at a conference. I was not able to do the soy/whey stuff, but was very "good" about food choices (made veggies my main course, stayed away from desserts etc) but I have come home and am right back up to 190lbs. Now I know that I am PMS'ing, so maybe it is the little weight gain from that, but it seems there is just not room for cheating on this plan....but maybe that is what I need. So I am back at it. I was really careful today to pack a bag that was prepared for a day at work, fruit, water and a soy/whey drink. I will check back with everyone after the weekend to let you know if I am making any progress.
On a positive note, I usually experience massive mood swings and VERY tender breasts around this time of the glorious month (lol) I am excited to report that I have not had any of these symptoms so far. This is probably a result of the soy milk and cutting back on so much sugar.
Have a good weekend everyone (and for all you Americans "Happy 4th of July" weekend!)

Talking Article

Congratulations to everyone on your success with this diet! I would REALLY appreciate it if someone could send me the First Magazine article to jamiclunestny.rr.com. My husband and I are very interested. Thanks so much!
