hello Tryhard...

so you bought the book... great start!
you read it...? all of it?

I am not sure what you are expecting to see within a week? it is a lifestyle change after all, and takes a while to reprogram old patterns...

stick with it, throw your doubts overboard and really live it...

Default still trying

Dear Schnazzy,

thanks for the reply - your harsh words have motivated me to keep trying. I have read the book - several times, and have been listening to Jon's CD everynight before I go to sleep. I am also trying most of the other recommendations he makes and three weeks on I still don't really see any changes and have yet to lose any weight.

You're right though - if it is to be a lifestyle change then obviously I need to keep trying. Nothing to lose - except weight hopefully!

How is every one. I'm a new member I just wanted to say that I have ordered the Gabriel method book and am waiting for it to arrive in the mail. I actually spoke with Jon like four days ago. I went to on of the websites that you can order the book from and there was a link that displayed his number in australia, now before I go any further I went to his web site on my moblie phone so when I clicked on the link it dialed his number and he actually picked up and I was so surprised and I told him that I had been struggling with my weight since before high school and I now have three children and I'm busy working full time I'm married and don't have time for me for anything. He was very helpful and advising ways for me to find time for myself and why it may be hard for some people to loose weight like they would like. But anyway he is no fake it was his i was talking to his voice his laugh was just like he was in the you tube clips. So if anybody want to talk to him i'll get the number tomorrow. And congratulationsn schnazzy!

Default The Gabriel Method

Hello
I came across the Gabriel Method on the internet, just by chance.
I had a look at some of the interviews on You Tube, and thought "wow, finally a way to lose weight that is not a diet". But the book is not available in my country, I have to order it and wait 6-8 weeks.

I know he recommends some things, like getting 10 minutes sunshine each day. Can anyone that has read the book please give me some tips to start with in the meantime! And I hope its not all about hypnosis/meditation, as that stuff is quite hard to believe in.

Thanks

it is NOT a diet but a very supportive, compassionate and practical lifestyle change.

i have followed Jon's advice for the last 3 month (and one advice was not to weigh myself) and noticed a gradual loss, especially around those hard to shift hips, overall i have dropped a clothes size. i eat healthier and MORE, the only exercise i do regularly is yoga (daily).

Jon has been incredibly supportive to some of my online friends by offering them (free) personal advice over the phone, he is a wonderful, compassionate person and i believe that he has got it all worked out.
we all know diets don't work... that is why they keep coming and going and people keep going on and off diets. Jon explains all that in his book too, he goes into great detail about the mind body connection, the fact that we are actually starving of nutrients, which is why we overeat and how to deal with it.
