Default Needing suggestions on what may help me loose weight.

I'm 28 years old and have battled my weight since elementary school. I actually conquered it about 7 years ago and kept most of the weight off for approx. 3 years. Then I got married and happy and I let the pounds pile on again. I'm about 85 lbs. overweight and I've been trying to loose the weight for a couple of months now. I've dramatically changed my diet, I've been doing the Slim in 6 program for about 6 weeks and doing the Biggest Looser workouts for about the same amount of time. I know that the weight isn't going to go away overnight, but I've only shed 5 lbs. and I'm really frustrated now. Not only am I very unhappy in my own skin, its starting to affect my sex life. My husband dosen't care how big or small I am, but you know how a woman's mind thinks. Can anyone shed any light on what they think may work and give me a little support to help motivate me more than I am. Thanks!!

Well I tried diet pills a couple years ago, and I got palpitations and chest pains, the palpitations and chest pains went away when I stopped taking them. I wouldn't recommend them. I know it is frustrating though, I am frustrated myself since I have about 30 more pounds to lose....i've just been trying the best I can, but I cant seem to crack it

Pills and diets don't work. To be healthy and keep the weight off you're going to have to make complete lifestyle changes, for life. Be patient, you'll get there. Eat healthy, and don't over eat. Keep active. What are your workouts like right now? I would dump any sort of fad diet, seriously, they don't work. Maybe in the short term but not in the long term and they tend to mess with your metabolism. The only one I can think of that is half way decent is The Zone Diet, because all it basically is is healthy, balanced eating.

Default Have tried diet pills before...

I have been on phentermine before and it did help me loose weight. The only thing is, the doctor wanted me to keep my calories at 1,000. Like I said, I'm 85 lbs. overweight and I've done enough classes and research to know that to help me keep my metabolism up I have to eat approx. 1600 cal. per day to start loosing the weight. I've been following Dr. Phil's diet and the Biggest Looser plans. They're alot like the American Dietetics plan, but I'm not keeping up with exchanges. I guess that I'm really frustrated that I feel like I'm working so hard (1.5-2 hrs. per day), plus keeping up with 3 Two year olds and staying on a good eating plan (3 balanced meals 2-3 healthy snacks per day) that I just thought by now I'd see more results. I've always been a person who gains muscle mass rather quickly and I know that muscle weighs more than fat, but its very frustrating to not see numbers move on the scale. If any one would like to email me back and forth for support, I could really use it.
