regalyo, you need to do this for yourself. Assure him that you want to be healthy, you NEED to be healthy. It's not because you're looking to meet someone or to make him jealous. Tell him you're doing this for him, so you can ensure you are around for the long haul. As it is right now, with your health the way it is, you may not outlive him.

    Thumbs up

sourpuss, even though I have more illnesses than he does, I think I may out live him. He is also a diabetic with elevated chlosterol and was just placed on high blood pressure meds by our PCP. He is a sociable drinker and a constant chain smoker. He is always angry about something and always tied in knots. He does not want to quit smoking or change hie lifestyle.

I am doing this for myself. I remember what it was like to be a smaller, healthier size. I definately recall the advantages to be smaller.

Congratulations! I wish I had the willpower you have. My weakness is drinking soda and eating fast food. It is so hard to get motivated to start eating right, but I know it can be done. Last year I was on weight watchers and ate lots of fruits and vegetables and drank a lot of water, and I felt great. I want to try again. You are an inspiration to me. Thanks for posting.

Thumbs up Wow...do we think alike

Wow...I can't believe how much we think a like. I do similar things. I had lost nearly 100 pounds about 4 or 5 years ago. I ate mostly fruits, veggies and nuts and seeds. I bought a juicer and made all my own fresh juices. My favorite was carrot/apple/beet. Oh my was it good. I love nutrition. I have always been ingterested in great, healthy food. I do have a gym membership. I just renewed it. I did gain alot of weight back. But that was my fault. I let a stressful situation in my life lead me back into my bad habbits. Anyway....I am happy that you have chosen this way of eating. Keep up the good work.
