Smile lost three kilo's in a few days

Hi all
I am fairly new here and have been very inspired by many successes I have read about weight loss. I read the thread about the soy, whey and protein diet and have also been reading everything I can get on the Gabriel method, which I have ordered the book and waiting arrival. From what I can gather it is about the mind body connection in weight loss, A bit more than just think skinny and you are though lol. I am also a big believing in 'the secret'.

Anyway over the last few days I have been eating a bit better, drinking more water and taking the dog for a walk, not huge changes really. I have also been using visualisations of what I want my body to be like, rather than focusing on what it is right now and what I have to lose.

Well I jumped on the scales and had lost two kilo's in a few days. I started the whey, soy protein diet yesterday and when I weighed in this morning I had lost another kilo. Thjats three kilo's all together in a few days. I'm not even feeling that hungry. I'm not sure what it is that is working to loose weight so fast, but I feel that I have made a mind shift in the way I see things. I am asking for the body I want instead of focusing on the body I don't want.

I know it sounds all a bit hocus pocus but something is working. I wanted to loose 8 kilos for my wedding comming up in a few months and at this rate it will be gone in a month, as I only have 5 kilos to go.

I am a little concerned that as the weight is comming off so fast, will it be lasting. Any thoughts. I was thinking about keeping up one of the meals of the diet to help maintain as I really love the shakes for breakfast with the frozen berries in it anyway.

My other thought is it may be fluids I am loosing as I am drinking a lot of water and peeing a lot and my body was probably quite dehydrated before.

Any thoughts or words of wisedom from anyone would be appreciated.

Will keep you up dated on my progress.

Well guys I jumped on the scales today and only lost 100 grams. I guess the weight loss couldn't continue to be that fast as it wouldn't be healthy but am a little disapointed.
Will keep you posted on my progress.

The weight coming of fast will slow itself down and you may see nothing for a while, then after a few weeks, it will show as another few kilos gone.

Your body stores fat, it has to, in times when your not eating right...

To keep weight of, you have to continue monitoring what you put in your mouth and exercise.

If you eat correctly, drink water, excersise it won't be a problem.

Just, i would say, don't jump on the scales daily, weekly, it can be deflating whilst your body is adjusting and not moving, you'll think nothing is happening.

And, don't eat less to do it, it's not healthy and you'll feel tired and down, and give up.

Just keep it all at an even pace and jump on those scales once a fortnight...

Thanks for the words of advise CW.

I know your right I am jumping on the scales each morning and as the weight loss has slowed I am feeling a little frustrated. when the weight was comming off fast it was motivating but not so now.

A fortnight seems such a long time to see progress on the scales, but weight loss is a long term commitment I know. I can feel the difference in my clothes as my stomach does feel flatter and that is reasuring. I guess we have become such an instant gratification society.

I originally gave myself three months to loose the 8 kilo I required and when the weight came off so quickly in the beginning I started to think I could be there in a month.

I think I could stay away from the scales for a week, so will weigh myself next wednesday. A bit of a comprimise ( laughs ).

Will up date my progress in a week.

Thanks again

LOL, that's why i said do it in a fortnight, so you don't feel frustrated but if it was me? I'd at least do it in a week to.

2 and a half k's a month, absoultely possible 1/2 a week... You can do it, i'm rooting for you.... Keep us posted...

Well after the initial mega weight lose I am now loosing about half a kilo a week which I think is healthy although feels a little slow.

I break the soy wheat diet a few times on the weekend if I am socialising, going out to dinner or having a drink etc although I always choose the healthiest option on the menu .

I now have 4 more kilo's to loose before the fitting of my wedding dress in september. It fitted when I tried it on 4 kilos ago but want to make any alterations that will be needed by then when I am another 4 kilo's ( 8 all together) lighter by then, fingers crossed.
