My new baby is 3 and 1/2 months old and I am still breast feeding. I gained a lot of weight during my second pregnancy and need to lose some weight. Can anyone suggest how.

You can safely lose 1 to 2 pounds while breastfeeding , nothing more. There is a diet plan on babycenter.com for breastfeeding moms, you can check that out. Start a working out at least 3 times for the week. Thats a good start there.

Breast feeding is great. I breast fed all three of my children. The only thing is by the third I had gained a lot of weight. After my third child I decided to join weight watchers. They set me up on a plan so that I ate enough to keep producing milk and still lost weight. Basically the just figured out how many points I was allowed because of my size and then added extra to allow me to still breast feed. The program worked great for me. During that time I lost 35 pounds. The program was nice because it allowed me to get out and socialize for an hour a week without children. Don't get me wrong, the program is children friendly and when I had to I took the children, but it was nice to be with other adults and actually hold a conversion.
