Congratulations on your weight loss.
That is awesome. It sounds as if you are doing what needs to be done already. Are you asking because you stopped losing or because your job is no longer as physical as before? if it's that then you might just want to incorporate 10-15 minutes, two or three times a day, somewhere in your long hours. It helps to park farther from your building, or taking the stairs, etc. I would also like to lose just a few lbs but my problem is that I get too lazy so I found a great forum that I will be reporting to. I need to be held accountable so therefore I won't have a choice but to work out (actually I'm going to do 30 minutes of walking M-F). I went to the store today and parked as far away as I could and carried my own groceries. So that's a start. I'm also starting a cleanse, detox program that originally helped me lose 2 dress size in 1 1/2 months and it has helped me remain at a size 6 for over a year but the lack of excercise is causing my size 6 to feel a little to snug I will be more than happy to support you if you need me too. I know you can do it!Rose

Being active is always a plus and helps keep your metabolism going, but if you don't watch what you eat, that can actually slow down your metabolism. I found the ONLY way to KEEP weight off is to cleanse. After turning 40, my body changed. I had been going to the gym 3 or 4 times a week and even worked out with a trainer, but I was still gaining weight. It wasn't until I did a cleanse last year that I was able to lose 8 lbs and 10 1/2 inches, and my energy leveled increased. I felt much younger and my skin cleared up and I look much younger, too. I still exercise because I believe it is still important to exercise and keep your body limber and in shape, but cleansing has certainly been the key to my weight loss.

I have always been small, but when I went from a three to a seven I realised that I had a very bad case of open mouth and food was falling into it. I started to do this; On Friday I would stop eating about three pm, and then eat something that ran my belly...callaloo or milk products, whatever. I would then take up residence in the bathroom. On Saturday I drank my coffee, lots of orange juice, (no sugar in anything) and water. On Sunday I would have a tiny bowl of muesli for breakfast and a little something for dinner. The next week, same ritual. As I don't eat much anyway, as I don't have any sugar or salt in my house, as I'm a Vegan and I don't eat lunch, it was fairly easy to get rid of the excess weight. What I do now is my Calvin test. If I can't get into these jeans, I don't eat until I can. The problem for most people is that they are always eating. Lunch is sacred and must be Eaten! But me, I just have a little breakfast and a little dinner, and satisfy. |
