Exclamation Cheating pressure from roomie

I just graduated college and recently moved in with my best friend. She knows that I have been watching what I eat and trying to make healthy choices. She, however, has not made this lifestyle change (and im not suggesting she should) but she is always encouraging me to cheat.

She brings home fast food for me (even though I didnt ask for it) and when I do go for a slice of pizza (hey, im not perfect) she high fives me and tells me to have more.

Today I had a really good, healthy, no cheating day and she brings home six cupcakes. I havent had one but she keeps saying "TAKE one, I cant eat all of those, im going to be such a fatty".

Any tips on not giving in to the temptation? Please and thank you :]

The only thing between you and the goal, is how committed you are willing to be in your diet. I am in a similar situation, but its not my bf I live with my boyfriend and he has a fast metabolism and I dont. He eats whatever he wants and we do have chips in the house and stuff like that but you have to be have self-control.

You can honestly blame it on your roomie for bringing you all the uckie food your not suppose to eat, but you are really the one who has the last say as to what comes into your mouth. You should have fast food every once in a great while, so don't totally neglect it.

Have you tried talking to her about it? Letting her know that you know what, its sweet that she brings you food but to stop since theres goals you're trying to achieve and you'd be appreciative if she'd be willing to help you out with this. Try to get her to join in the healthy food small changes nothing drastic, but it all falls down to you and how much you are willing to commit to achieve your personal goals. Best of Luck

I have spoken to her about it, and she was all for being more healthy...for about a week. Then she went back to eating her regular foods. Thats her right.

When I bring it up she says "food is food!" which, to people like her and your boyfriend with fast metabolisms, is true. Also when I dont eat her foods I feel like im wasting money. I think I might ask her tomorrow, I dont want to be a nag. Thank you for the help! Its good to know Im not alone.
