On the Edit function, I'm just wondering if there is just cause for not having even a 10 minute edit window. I believe vBulletin allows the time to be set on a user's ability to edit his/her own posts.

Even when I proof read my post with the Preview Post button I miss mistakes and then see them the minute I've hit the Submit Reply / Post Quick Reply button. Stupid stuff like forgetting the 'not' in a 'did not' or a 'should not' or similar - my brain knows what I meant so it doesn't see the word is missing, and that changes the entire meaning of the post. This is, of course, entirely my own problem - I find that reading out loud fixes it, but I guessing I'm hoping for a lazy way out

Sorry to drag up an old thread if that's not the form here - in other places I frequent it is preferred to post a new comment to an old thread rather than create a new one. Let me know if that's not the way here. I can adapt

*%& it! I proof read my post 4 times before submitting and I still didn't see that error til you quoted it. I suppose I couldn't decide between 'I'm guessing' and 'I guess' so I went with half of each

Ah well - that'll learn me.

Thanks for the edit offer - but if I were to contact you about every mistake I make that bugs me you'd be sick of me within a few days... I'll just have to try harder

We usually only get puffy about necroed threads if they're problem-solvers. Or if it's a subject with a newer, active thread.
Any vBulletin options are up to the big bosses. The mods and I don't have access to those options, but rest assured the whole team takes everything into consideration.
