    Default Updating the pregnancy FAQ

What would you think about this?

Obviously the same types of questions being asked over and over are pretty inevitable with any discussion board, but there seems to be more of that in the pregnancy section here than in any other part of this forum.

Since I'm trying to find excuses to procrastinate doing work at my actual job.. .. I wouldn't mind combing through that section, collecting various common questions, and kind of expanding the FAQ that's already in place.

Agreed. People obviously aren't reading and/or understanding the one that is up there now. (although, I can't see what's not to get) I think a lot of the people who post those threads are just scared and desperate for advice so they post the thread anyway.

Yeah. It also seems a lot of people just are not informed about menstrual cycles and freak out at the slightest change!

I never cease to be amazed at how many post asking, Am I pregnant? How would we know? I feel sorry for them but it's a rather useless question.

I commend you for the time in which you wanted to put in to help further, thank you.

The difficulty is in reality, is that vary "few" actually read the FAQ before posting in any section.

It is there basically for us to "refer" a new member to, having had to give an infraction "warning" to or when inundated with idential questions, to refer them to the page.

If you feel that a simular question is being posted over and over, then it may be worth while adding that into the FAQ, ie) ovulation times... In which case, I will bring that to Little's attention.

We always welcome our member's contributions

Alrighty! I think something along the lines of a late period might as well be put in there. 1 day late, 4 days late, funny brown discharge...

I see your point though, it's almost useless after a point.

I know Having been here for so long, I can't begin to tell you how many pose questions that "are" actually in the FAQ sections...

    Well, why not :-

"When do I take a home pregnancy test?"

    "When would I seek a Doctor's opinion?"

    "How safe are condoms?"

"Can I get pregnant if I am a Virgin and if so how?"...

They seem to be the main ones? which relates to what you state, days.....

I'll point Little to this thread, maybe there are a few other ones, but you know us Mods are really then going say say check out the FAQ.. which will mean that there won't be many answers to their threads which can also lead to new members not staying..

There are always a few issues with changes

I am sure as Little has been here even longer, she will guide further in this regard.
