    Interesting!

    That thing that comes up on every first post, is that an ad or like a real Q&A thing?

    The new layout is great !!! I guess for the "veterans" in here it might take some time, but for the newbies it's all good
    Seems like this design is becoming the trend/standard in the coolest forums.

    Whoa. Am I the only one getting all the ads? Like... inside every third post or so?

    No - I'm getting the ads too.

    Annoying at first but your brain will learn to tune them out.

    no wait! I mean we will all learn to appreciate and click on the ads because they help pay for the site to be free and usable for all of us
    Now let us sport us while we may; / And now, like am'rous birds of prey,
    Rather at once our time devour, / Than languish in his slow-chapp'd power.
    Let us roll all our strength, and all / Our sweetness, up into one ball;
    And tear our pleasures with rough strife / Thorough the iron gates of life.
    Thus, though we cannot make our sun / Stand still, yet we will make him run.

    Thumbs down

    The new layout is terrible. I am running this on a screen that is 1024x600, a common netbook size. I am using Firefox.

    There is a left column of around 100 pixels that has nothing in it. There is a right column of around 100 pixels that has nothing in it. When there is an ad on the right of the post, the posting column becomes only about 12 characters wide. This makes long posts continue for 10 or more pages with only the 12 character text column in the center and everything else a blank page. One page had a quote on it. The quote came out to a column of single characters with no blank lines between words, since it didn't print the space that would be between words on it's own line. It looked like the order of characters as written in Chinese.

    Whoever did the change, didn't test for a 1024 wide screen and Firefox, which is quite surprising, seeing that Firefox is used by many and netbooks are the biggest sellers of portable computers. Layout of web pages is very important, and leaving too much blank space is a money and interest loser.

    The spell checker doesn't seem to be working in the quick reply window with the new layout, either.

    I can't find my "today's Posts"!!! It used to be under "Quick Links"

    Sorry, more and more intrusive adds, less efficient use of space. Difficult to read at low res. Colors are nice though.
