I have an idea...

It seems the member rep points are being neglected, which is kind of too bad.

But, I had kind of an idea to help promote it, because I think it's a good incentive for members (and because it's fun). What if we held like a poll to vote on the best threads of the year, and the member that started it, and/or the member that contributed the most to it, receives a reputation boost? That is, if it's possible to do that, only the Mods would know.

We could even have categories like "Funniest Thread", "Most Replied", "Most Informative", etc.

What do you think Mods? CW?

The Mods are currently working on some things and discussing ideas and information on our board. Hopefully, in the next few months we'll have some things moving along.

I completely fail to understand the concern with rep points. Who sees them? What purpose do they serve?

idk, I guess it's just an incentive for members to write quality posts. But the members here pretty much do that anyway, so perhaps we should just get rid of the feature since it's being ignored anyways.

As Lana, advised, we are currently working on a few things as a team at present, including Poster of the Month, as you may not be aware, Little is now married, is due to have her new baby boy sometimes this week, and has not been able to be active here, for few months, as such, I now as of today have Admin powers and it will take me a while to re-view all the options we can do, and discuss that with the Moderators, obtain their in-put and up-load, those considering also we all work and we work this site for free..

I'm new here so I might be out of line saying this. I look upon this group as a support group, with focus on helping people. Making it a competition doesn't seem to be the right path.

That's why we only have Poster of The Month, it seems fitting to say "thankyou" and give a label to someone, for all the time and effort they put in, to reply to our members here...

After all that is what this Forum is about, "helping people" I created the Lounge Section with Little a couple of years ago, for the "fun" part....

sorry... I wasn't thinking "competition", more like "incentive". I think we have some fun here as well as help each other.
