i would just like to say i think this site is great! however i think you should show the internet providers user ip number next to the user names.

i have seen this feature on many forums and it stops a lot of messing about on the discussion boards, for instance people using multiple user IDs just so they can make their comments seem more vaild! although it is just them using another user name.

i feel this would make a big improvement to the site. even with mutiple email addresses the IP number stays the same.

Giving out someone's IP address freely like that isn't a good thing to do. That's how people get hacked so easily. They can also figure out exactly where you live and I think we all want to be safe.

...This is what I get for dating a hacker for 2 months. T_T

I agree with Ravsoma, we feel that sharing ip addresses is considered personal information, just as your email is. You can track down a person's general location and service provider with that and we do not feel it is safe. However, we are looking into installing a new modification which will track and prevent multiple user accounts. Also, spammers are banned by their ip address as well, so once they are banned... they are gone forever unless they have an ip generator.

You can't really be traced back to the actual address you are using the computer at (unless the federal government is looking for you... hahaha), but you can be tracked to the point of your internet service provider and that can tell the general location you are in. So, we would rather not give out that information.
