  • Women’s Sexual Dysfunction Always Defined In Terms Of Intercourse?

Women used to be described as ‘frigid’ when they failed to simulate arousal in response to intercourse. The requirement was never for a woman to truly orgasm. Today women continue to fake. It is men who want women to be aroused by sex.

‘Vaginismus’ is a reproductive problem because intercourse leads to pregnancy. The sexual problem arises because of a man’s desire to penetrate and thrust to orgasm. So the definition of women’s sexual function or dysfunction is defined primarily in terms of their ability to provide a man with intercourse and to respond (or appear to respond) to intercourse. It has very little to do with their own orgasmic ability.

The clitoris may be the equivalent of the penis but few women discover its joys. The clitoris has masculine connotations since it is a remnant of what would have become the male organ. Women prefer a more ‘feminine’ (implicit) interpretation of their sexuality.

The G-spot and the internal clitoral organ are both modern attempts to propose that the vagina is involved in female orgasm (stimulated by thrusting of course!). No one can identify the mental turn-ons that cause female arousal. So what is supposed to cause a ‘clitoral erection’ and why is there so little reference to such a phenomenon?

Men’s sex drive and consequent sexual frustration cause orgasm to be vital to them. Women may be unhappy about a lack of orgasm during sex but they can live with it. Research findings indicate that 50% of women orgasm during sex and 50% don’t. There is no evidence to show that the 50% of women who orgasm with a partner are any more willing to initiate sex or any more willing to have sex over the long term.

Why are women who describe sex as orgasmic not more generous as lovers over the longer term? Women’s claims of easy orgasm are simply a matter of sexual ego. Given the extent of women’s supposed orgasmic abilities, there should be dozens of success stories. Yet men still fear that marriage will mean the end of their sex life and there are still jokes about the ‘headaches’ married women use to avoid having sex.

When couples talk about keeping sex alive so often the suggestions involve the woman finding ways to titillate the man e.g. by wearing provocative underwear. This indicates that the main driving force for a sexual relationship continues to be male sex drive and the key measure of success is male sexual satisfaction (male orgasm).

Suggestions for how a man can get a woman into bed focus on rewards in the wider relationship, which may make a woman amenable to sex but don’t help with orgasm.
By telling men that women find sex equally pleasurable, men never come to accept that they need to invest in making sex more rewarding for a woman by including some sensual pleasuring and a variety of sex play including clitoral stimulation.
