    Lemon is versatile when it comes to Natural Skin Care or beautifying skin.

    Skin repair: Dust, pollution, stress, lack of sleep, sun, diseases etc. damage skin by generating harmful free radicals. Lemon is a good source of vitamin C, that contain anti-oxidant which help in scavenging free radicals and hence help in skin repair.

    Dead skin cells are shed daily from our skin however this process slows down with age, so that dead cells stick to skin surface giving dull and patchy look. Citric acid in lemon exfoliates dead cells off your skin and improves dull and patchy look.

    Skin lightening:This action is attributed to Vitamin C and also exfoliation caused by citric acid help reduce dark spots and patches, even dark elbows and knees.

    Anti-ageing: due to anti-oxidant action of vitamin C and exfoliation owing to citric acid.

    Insect repellent: Lemon juice when applied to skin repels mosquitoes and hence prevents insect bites.

    Senile purpura: It is seen as bruises that occur commonly in old age due to extravasation of blood. Intake of lemon provides vitamin C, that strengthens the walls of vessels and prevent senile purpura. Oral consumption of flavanoids in lemon also reduces the risk of heart diseases and degenerative bone diseases.

    Prevent acne: Some sources present in lemon juice kills the bacteria that produce acne while simultaneously clearing up acne scars.
