• There are so many. I decided to narrow it down based on my number one requirement: a great antagonist. Besides being great films, in every one of these movies, the bad guy made me say, "I kinda see his point."

1. All the Kings Men (1949) (there are movies I like more, but this probably has the best bad guy ever - classic good-intentions-corrupted-by-power flick)

2. Training Day (Alonzo was so alpha and made me uncomfortable for the entire movie, even when he was quietly reading the paper at the beginning)

3. The Matrix (we've enslaved machines for millenia, it's not their fault we made them aware and then tried to eradicate them)

4. Revenge of the Sith (how many bad guys can actually make the good guys join them? I know Star wars fans love Episode 5, but seeing Palpatine's conversion of Anakin does it for my money. His recounting the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis The Wise to at the Opera is one of the greatest moments of film and will forever send chills down my spine.)

5. Interview with the Vampire (almost didn't make it, but I can't forget Tom Cruise's argument why it was ok to murder and the fact that I actually felt sorry for him when he was betrayed and abandoned)
"Those sowing seed with tears
Will reap with a joyful shout." - Psalm 126

• Stillness: I loved training day "it's not what you know, it's what you can prove!"

I loved interview with a vampire too. I didn't like the Martix and haven't seen the others.

Here are five of my favorites:

1) man on fire

2) Ferric Beuller's day off

3) and 4) the two new Sherlock Holmes films with Robert Downy Jnr

5) Youth in Revolt
"The greatest enemy will hide in the last place you will ever look" Julius Caesar
