  • Miss Indiana is Normal

Miss Indiana (who didn't win Miss USA) has been in the news for her "normal" body - meaning not ultra skinny like all the others. I think she's gorgeous but I wouldn't exactly say she's un-skinny.

    Yummy.

  • I dunno, she looked mighty yummy to me...

      • Perhaps she's a size 4 rather than 0?

She does not have the "hourglass" figure. I mean, I think she is good looking, but I think she is getting publicity because here sides are parallel. Honestly, one of the first girls I ever crushed on really hard was a tad chunky

          • She doesn't have wide hips, true, but I still don't see much body fat. Hips are more an innate body characteristic, weight less so.

            • What a winning smile. She has a lot of features. I don't see any flaws. I wonder what her measurements are? How close or how far are they from quote "ideal". I did read that she is 5'8" and 137. How does that compare to averages in her age group?

              • A healthy weight for her height is considered 140 lbs (100 lbs for the first 5 feet and then 5 lbs for every inch after than)

You hit it on the "nose". Size 4. "Normal" for a US woman is between a size 12-14. Hummmm.

Is that for women 24 to 26 years old, 20 to 30 years old or 18 to 100+ or what? On average, women and men tend to put on weight as they age.

There was no breakdown by age. Average woman/average size. If someone finds a breakdown by age, please comment.

                      • 5-8/137 sounds really normal to me indeed. (Normal as in not at all unreasonable, not that most 5-8 women are 137. I imagine they're generally heavier.) Are there any 5-8 women who weigh 97 pounds besides those runway model walking sticks?

                        • From data in "Anthropometric Reference Data for Children and Adults: United States, 2007–2010" by the CDC, it looks like she is about 4 inches taller and 12 pounds lighter than average in the 20-29 age group for women (I used the 50th percentile for average). Average is still cheated to the light and tall side just as dress sizes have been reduced since the 1950s for marketing purposes.

                          • From what I understand, she forgot to use 'butt glue' during the bikini contest part,, any woman on this site should be able to tell you what 'butt glue' is and what it's made for...

                            • Sounds like chasing women who use butt glue will be the next thing. I'm waiting for the set of close-up photos for a complete explanation.
