  • Jewellery question

My mum said for Christmas I can have some diamond stud earrings. However, when she and I looked at created diamonds on eBay, it said cubic zirconia in the description. So my question is, is cubic zirconia a created diamond or is if something else? Because sound of them seem reasonably priced for a diamond.

  • CZs are always created diamonds.

    • I would suggest a search & learning session about naturally-occurring diamonds vs. lab-created stones. Try googling it, just choose a reputable site, not one trying to sell their product. A site that is science based, maybe a geologic or chemistry site would be good.
"Artificial" stones are popular these days, and some very good quality. I'm guessing you are young, and probably don't need anything terribly high-priced or high quality at this time. A lab-created stone would probably be a very good choice for you.

      • Thanks for the answers :-). I wondered because I was told a lab created diamond was a real diamond, but CZ was not.
